To my knowledge all MMJ states require residency.

As soon as the law passes here in Illinois our doctor will be ready to come in and start seeing people who desire to be patients. He will most certainly be in the western suburbs (Aurora/Naperville area) and will also end up going where there are enough people. We may even charter buses for folks to come up here.

Regardless, this probably won't happen till Feb unless there is an outpouring of support to State Representatives. You can find who your rep is at whoismyrepresentative.com and CALL them and let them know that you support SB 1381. Let's get this thing passes sooner rather than later.

While "your Dr" may be trying to help people and State law may protect that precept I do not think any lawmaker in IL. the State's Medical Board of Review, or the DEA, who also monitor Dr's and can imprison them on other charges in Federal Court, will cotton to this practice or idea.
While I am not an Atty. If a Dr. or representative thereof tried "drumming up business with promises of Pot or Rx's" or the "chartering of busses" with the promise, or implied consent, to defraud, evade, or otherwise manipulate the protections that are expressly written into applicable Statutes of both State and Federal Law the following would happen.
All law enforcement personnel will participate either jointly or independent of one another will seek to adjudicate all responsible parties and those who may have aided or abetted this violation. They will also seek forfeiture of any and all assets that may have been gained or used to employ said strategies including but not limited to: real property held in name or interest, cars, homes, businesses, investments, bank accounts and holdings, stocks, bonds, Money Market acct's, IRA's and other investment vehicles or shelters both domestic and abroad. This then puts the onus of responsibility on said defendant(s) to in Federal Court petition for and attempt to prove item by item where exactly that money or monies were derived from in whole or in part without exception and at the cost of the defendant(s) and to further prove that State, and
Federal taxes were paid and maintained on said items and where and with what frequency that money or monies were derived from.

It is not my intention to find fault, or ridicule, but rather shed light on an enthusiastic statement that will be interpreted by many as a flagrant foul or disregard for State and Federal Laws that have nothing to do w/MMJ

While I think the sharing of pertinent information is important we must all safeguard against prosecution for trying to help another with their medical disability.

I encourage anyone to assist those struggling with this and other vital issues.

If a doctor whom has studied for eight years legally prescribes cannabis under new law, which is turning up in more and more states, there will be nothing your hard headed ego can do about it. Thats why our county honors the title Dr. because we give them a great level of responsibility and trust. Much like a police officer.

Exclamation Re: Looking for list of doctors who prescribe medical marijuana

    Wingman,

While I appreciate your comments as they were obviously out of brotherly love, I must point out I am not attempting to do anything that is outside of the law, current of future. I have been advised by our legal department that what I have offered here is acceptable.

Drumming up business? Yes! If I can be the first to help Illinois residents in need, that would be awesome. My non for profit Medical Cannabis Organization will be there for those in need. Patients will also have the option to pick any MCO or caregiver they wish as the doctor is not employed by me or anyone in any organization that I am affiliated with. This doctor will need medical records from patients prior to seeing them. This will in no way guarantee a recommendation for Medical Cannabis.

Thank you Wingman for the opportunity to clarify my intentions.

Re: Looking for list of doctors who prescribe medical Marijuana

Hey, I'm new on here. I have Fibromyalgia, PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc. Right now I am self medicating with illegal cannabis, but I'm tired of having to make sketchy deals with drug dealers who skimp the shit outta me. I live in New Jersey, and the fact that Christie is barely doing anything about medical marijuana in our state just kills me.

Since I've started smoking I've had less urges to commit suicide, less self injury, less chronic pain, I am now able to eat without being nauseous, my body temp. is regulated, I sleep well at night, and I'm more able to work through the traumas I've gone through in my life. Hell, I think if I keep smoking everyday, maybe my Fibromyalgia will be gone by the time I'm out of college!

Anyway, I saw this post and I thought I'd come on here and ask: Where can I find a doctor who would be willing to prescribe marijuana? I've heard about Dr.s in NJ who will prescribe cannabis even though it's not completely legal yet. My friend told me about a Dr. who gave her mom cannabis in NJ like 20 years ago! I know it's very underground right now, but there are doctors who are prescribing cannabis to patients in New Jersey. I just need help finding these doctors.

Another problem is that many people, and doctors, think that Fibromyalgia isn't real. I can sure as hell tell all of you...the chronic pain, the nausea, the body temp changes, the sensitivity to light, sound, touch, smell, taste, etc. All of that is REAL and painful.

The only thing that has ever really helped, has been cannabis. When I move out of my mom's house I plan to go straight to California to get my mmj card.

So...anyone know of ANYWHERE I could obtain marijuana legally while still living in NJ?

New Jersey has passed a compassionate use act and fortunately for you Fibromyalgia is specifically listed as one of the few ailments where they allow you to go through the qualification process.

This site has specific advice for New Jersey residents about how to find a doctor

Best wishes for you, we hope you find the pain relief you seek
