Hey, I am 59/male/Northwest Oregon.
I'm looking for a licensed State of Oregon doctor who prescribes medical marijuana and is accepting new patients. I have been recently diagnosed with degenerative arthrihis in my lower neck and back, with constant pain caused by an implanted "Harrison Bar" at vetebrate L3, after a vehicle accident in 1997. I self-medicate my perception, mood and pain with marijuana. Please help me locate a doctor.

I am 100% disabled and live on ssdi. I have every know pain killer
prescribed by the 6 specialist i have. I have had 20 surgeries in the last 5 years for the various problems caused by lyme dis. That i have. I have 3 types of arthritis, kidney dis., and i am now being treated with cancer medications for something i have not been advised of as of yet. The only painkiller that works is marijuana. I need to locate a doctor that i can go to to receive medical marijuana somewhere near me. I currently live in north carolina, but re-locate to any where close. I understand that i can obtain a prescription in maine, vermont, or maryland, but can find no specific information on how to go about it. I feel that i cannot hang on much longer without the real help tha mj gives me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Best regards, chris |

Marijuana Law Reform - NORML
Maryland only has: Maryland's legislature passed a medical marijuana affirmative defense law in 2003. This law requires the court to consider a defendant's use of medical marijuana to be a mitigating factor in marijuana-related state prosecution. If the patient, post-arrest, successfully makes the case at trial that his or her use of marijuana is one of medical necessity, then the maximum penalty allowed by law would be a $100 fine. Hey there, So there is a clinic in Portland called the THC clinic. It is about 185$ to see the physician. You have to bring in your medical records and you will usually be there for about 3-4 hours as you will need to wait for the dr. to review your records. They will sign your paperwork for you and send you on your way. In Oregon, we have to renew every year, so you can just go back 1x year. Also, the state building is right down the street (bout a mile) so if you are from out of town you can get the stamp stating you have submitted your paperwork all in the same day. They stamp your copy of the submitted paperwork and it acts as your card until they arrive in the mail.
My husband and I are caregiving and growing for our friend and have been off and on for a few years now. So that makes it easier to start the cycle than to wait for the paperwork to arrive in the mail. Good Luck!

Ok here is my situation. I am in the travel industry and am all over the USA Canada and Mexico. I have my Drivers License valid in Costa Rica, I have a state ID in Texas where my father lives. I stay in hotels the majority of the days and do consider CA my home state. My physician in TX is willing to fax all medical data needed or via phone call to qualify me to be a medical patient. Will I be forced to get a CA DMV ID? Being I stay in so many different cities I do not have a mailing address in CA. I am thinking I will have to get a POB in CA to have a CA ID mailed. How strick are the medical physicians if I do not have a state issued ID but can more than verify my medical condition via fax from my doctor in TX along with MRI data. I understand unlike Costa Rica you do not receive a CA ID the same day within the DMV office. Any suggestions on my situation would be great. Thanks in advance.
