MMD in Michigan

I know its still a month from election day but proposal 1 making Michigan a state with medical herb legal was favored by 67% in an early poll. I know that no Dr. will give a recomendation until the law takes effect but I was wondering if theres anyone knows of a MMD in Michigan that will write recomendation once the law does take effect. I'm trying to be patient but I suffer from very painful neuropatic pain caused by sciatica and I am on probation for the next year for possesion of 1 joints worth. I get random drug tests so I can't smoke at all until it is legal for me to do so. I know 4 people who died of opioid overdoses and countless others whose lives have been ruined from opioid addiction so I refuse to take any type of opioid pain killer. This straight up leaves me in excrutiating pain with no safe legal treatment available other than risky and unaffordable surgery so I'm trying to "get the ball rolling" as soon as possible.
Also I was wondering if anyone knows of a Dr. who would prescribe Marinol for pain management? I know its not listed as a condition that the drug was intended to treat but in my opinion (as well as the opinion of many others) its a much safer treatment then Oxycontin and morphine which pain speciallists keep recomending.

I'm sure once the proposal passes, we will find out which doctors will prescribe mmj. The pain specialist I see for my bad back acknowledges Cannabis is "a great pain reliever."

I don't know how passage will effect your probation though. Even if you do get a doctor's recommendation, I'd suggest you ask your Probation Officer if it would be considered a violation.

you can have safe access to Cannabis in california on probation.
however, each state will adopt different aspects of these laws.
please make sure to check with your probation officer for sure!

michigan michigan michigan when we all wake up and pass this bill here called prop 1 michigan will be my home forever been considering moving to get a mmj card but hope i dont have too.cant wait i am even going to vote for the first time to help the measure wish ther was more i could do but dont want to stick my head that far above anyone else till this thing pass's hopefully 420 mag will help us all locate a good mmj doc for our needs....

I know the polling took a bit of a dip in the wrong direction - though our side never lost the lead.

truly disappointing the other side stooping to dishonesty in a last desparate effort to come from behind.

It's clear that Michigan's bill wouldn't allow dispensaries and wouldn't allow smokin in the club, but they are using these visuals to try to schnooker the voters.

Victory will taste that much sweeter when the lying prohibitionists go down in flames.

I have achieved such an incredible sense of pride from having been involved in this campaign. Of course getting arrested sucks, but it was getting arrested that made me wake up and realize that sitting around bitching about the law accomplishes nothing. This caused me to get involved with NORML, MCCC, 420 Magazine, and several other activists groups. I have decided not to complete my probation, and to just do the jail time and get it overwith because for 1 I simply can't afford all the fees they're throwing at me, and 2. What I did isn't even a crime anymore, so why would I spend the next year paying for it. So, yeah, I'm just gonna do the time and in the meantime, I plan on writing to everybody I can think of to let them know that innocent people like myself are taking up all this space in these already overcrowded jails. Anybody with me on this?? Anybody know some examples of government officials that I should be writing to?? I'm new to this whole activist thing, but I am about as dedicated as it gets. My new goals are national MMJ decriminalization..and of course full legalization. Pot has been proven to be far less harmful than alcohol and tobacco so why shouldn't it also be readily available for everyone. We're gonna get it anyways, so wouldn't it make sense to regulate and tax it so our stuggling economy can profit from it as opposed to street drug dealers. Yeah, I understand that that would mean that cops would have to spend they're time fighting crime instead of harassing inocent people. I could go on all day, but I simply just wanna know how else can I get involved. the local chapter of NORML doesn't meet nearly as often as I would like it to. I have this burning desire to make a difference. So whats next?

i intend to ignore those commercial.. Marijuana is not a gateway drug .. its only how u use it.. those people who do those ads on t.v. are fucking pathetic..
