Well, I finally made my appointment with the MMJ Doc. I go on April 11th. Going to the Doctor is gonna entail either borrowing Mother in laws car or renting one. One of our cars doesn't even start and the other I ain't gonna drive over 300 miles round trip.
On the way home I'd like to stop at the weed store that PM goes to in West Hollywood and after that head up to Ventura for dinner at a restuarant that makes the best clam chowder in the world. Then come on home.

Irish, ill post their address when I get hom so you can mapquest it from your location (unless someone else posts it first or you search for an old post where I listed several addys). But it's on La Breah, and it looks like a dingy, yellow house. I passed it several times te first visit. Its right past the market (Ralphs I think) on the right hand side. They have disabled parking at the place, but if you dont have a placcard, you can park on the street (check the signs first and bring money for the meter....street meters are free if you have a disabled placcard like me LOL!) on La Breah, or if thats crowded, drive around and find some parking in the neighborhood.
Be warned that they have beefed up their security a bit, and they are pretty no nonsense. WHen you have located the place (and its easy to spot now with the big security dude standing outside it with SECURITY on his chest), make sure you have your DOctors note, and a california ID ready to show the security dude. Keep that out, as you will have to show them 2 more times before entering. DOnt bring ANY knives and weapons (I know, NO DUH, but I thought id mention it anyway). Although they will be glad to explain this when you enter, ill tell you beforehand. You can look at the weed, ask to see it, and smell it, but you cant touch it. THey sell 1.8th/s just recently 1/4's, 1/2's and ounces.
Congrats on becoming legal and getting the medicine that helps you! ANd make sure you know your rights! DOnt let a police officer or sherrifs officer, STATE law enforcement agencies, violate your civil rights, the rights garanteed to you under California Law, the law they are sworn to uphold and protect.

Weel shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I won't be able to go to PM's weed store after all, unless their days of operation change. My appt. is on a Monday and the store is closed on Mondays. OK change of plan I guess I'll just go out to Ventura to eat, come home and Tuesday go check out the store here in my neck of the woods.

By the way, "The Yellow House" has all products including top shelf quality and all the exotics in all forms and knowledgable staff and it is as described "..a little bit of heaven.." Try not to giggle and gawk.. right.. you'll think you've died and gone to heaven! Prices more than up north but worth the extra $ for convenience and consistent quality. A first class operation.

My ailments include degenerative disc disease (and I'm only 45), fibromyalgia, and I USED to be depressed and the weed has already gotten rid of that.

There are other stores too in Socal. There is a thread that names them all right here on this site. It's not complete but pretty thorough.. good enough for government work as the say.. good luck and enjoy. With your condition, if you just want to rid yourself of pain and are not driving or using heavy equipment, get the best cookies from Yellow House in LA ($12-22 each). You must be in a safe place, eat on empty stomach, like first thing in a.m.If you like the buzz, let me know and I'll send you something wonderful! (My treat!)

Ms. Irish, as a matter of fact dear, I have a friend, female, about your age in TX and she has suffered from "(and I'm only 45), fibromyalgia."

I brought her some cupcakes for Xmas and she and her hubby had never done. She swears by it now and eats a little every day and feels great.. not too much so she's stupid, enough so there's limited, if any, pain. Good luck to you!

P.S.: The hubby does his sympathy medication and retires to the couch for the afternoon! Ya gotta love it!

Again, good luck. TRy a little at a time to get the dose right (I just do em 1 at a time, 2 max, 3.. will you get up!

The nice thing about edibles is that you can freeze them for future use with no loss of potency, your house doesn't stink, people don't look at you funny when they smell the pot on you after smoking, you can eat a cookie in front of a cop and they'd never guess, you can eat anywhere and last but not least I've yet to hear of anyone pulled over by our law enforcement for eating cookies or having to do a sobriety test because your breath smelled like cookies! Think about it.. how edibles make using a federally illegal drug so relaxed, neat and simple.. I must say!
