Changed Forever

I also live in Washington State. I finally got my MML about a month or two ago and it's changed my life. I'm only 43 years old (yeah I know, old for some) and have been disabled since I was 34. I lifted a friend of mine off the floor that was too sick to get to the bathroom alone and fallen out of bed. To make a long story short I ruptured L4, L5 and S1 in my spine. As a result of that injury it triggered Fibromyalgia. I have 16 tender points out of 18. After that it was a constant downfall of my health from there including problems with my heart etc. I quit smoking weed when I had my children and didn't start again until they were grown. I probably wouldn't have started again if it wasn't for the accident/injury. I found out real quick that I didn't want to live on pain pills and MJ helped me to relax and take the top off the pain. Now all these years later I find out that I'm eligible for medical marijuana and finally got my license. It took all the pressure off me and allowed me to relax. (Well, kind of). I still am afraid of being raided even though I'm legal. I've heard and read so many horror stories. Are there any other Christians 'out there' who smoke? If so please PLEASE let me know. I still feel very alone and alienated. Even though it's legal for me to smoke now, it's still not something that is accepted in the secular world, let alone with Christians. Thanks to all who read this and take the time to respond.

I dont understand why people always say "oh you smoke weed your going to hell!!!!" you cant even tell me that back then nobody knew what marijuana was... There is nothing wrong with it. It's a plant... So whether it clearly states "if you smoke marijuana your going to hell" in the Bible or not... I dont really care because it's a plant... A PLANT!!!!!!!!

And yes... I am a Christian...and smoke.

I'm not a christian but I have a few really close friends who are. They smoke and still love god with all their heart. Nothing in the 10 commandments says "thou shall not toke" So light up, get high, dont stress and enjoy the forums.

Thanks so much to all who responded so quickly to my message. I'm already feeling better knowing I'm not the only 'black' duck in the pond. I don't understand why this is such a big deal when it's "just a plant"! Thanks for your support and input. I think I'll 'light up, get high and stop stressing! Jean

Welcome jeanie again..... I consider anyone with kindness and giving in his heart to be 'of christian' beliefs whether they've even spent a minute in church. but that's just me.... You'll find everyone hear being very supportive and understanding of mj users and their reasons. You needn't feel guilty or worried about your use, it sounds reasonable and judicious. Those that would ridicule you are the lot who'd cast the first stone, those with their own demons within.

welcome jeannie. i also have had those doubts before, but as i need to smoke for relaxing and not overreacting to my children. that is why god gave us pot, to be more patient and understanding to our children!!

I got two nephews......Jeff and Ken, better known as 'Nitro & Glycerin' when they're together. If I know I'm gonna be near them I go stoned......

btw....when I'm out in a store or public & I see a couple of kids acting up I'll approach their mom or dad and offer up to guess their names, a quizical look will usually cross their face as they wonder how or what I'll guess....
I of course tell them 'nitro & glycerin' as I smile, turn and walk away....
