I live out of state at the moment. I understand that Santa Cruz, Mendocino, Humboldt, Marin, and Del Norte are the most lenient counties when it comes to the Prop 215 laws. I have DDD with a fractured T12. I am working a job that is really hard on my body...I'm thinking I can only hold out for another year. I would like to move to one of these counties so I can obtain it for medicinal use. Can someone give me some info of clinics, cultivation, and laws protecting me from local and federal officials. Thanks.

CLBorgen sorry to here you're in so much pain. I hope this information help's you out.
If you are in California you can get a note in any city. Prob 215 and sb 420 don't protect patients from federal law. Here is list of doctors in California that recommend marijuana. http://www.canorml.org/prop/215physicians.html Heres where to apply to get a ID card http://www.santacruzhealth.org/resources/2mm.htm Here is a list of co-ops in California http://www.canorml.org/prop/cbclist.html Guidelines on growing and possesion Santa Cruz: Board of Supervisors approved physician's taskforce proposal of three pounds of bud or conversion plus 100 square feet of garden canopy, no limit on plant numbers or lamp wattage. Humboldt: County Board of Supervisors as a PDF file (220k) approved taskforce proposal of three pounds of bud or conversion plus 100 square feet of garden canopy, no limit on plant numbers or lamp wattage. Caregiver amounts calculated per patient served. Mendocino: Sheriff and DA policy based on Voter Proposition G: 25 plants with up to 100 square feet of canopy and 2# bud. In August, 2004, the DA announced that the county will no longer enforce plant limits, only square footage. Marin: No limit on amounts, county ID cards honored by all law enforcement Del Norte Co. County Resolution 2002-029, adopted April 2002. Up to 100 square feet with no more than 99 plants and up to 1# dried bud. Last edited by Spliff Twister; 10-12-2006 at 12:24 PM. |

Thanks so much for the information. Is there a license one can obtain to grow plants and sell them to the clinics so one can make a legal income? I would like to do this. Also what about making tinctures too. This way it can help people out that are in bad situations.

No well maybe but not really. First you can sell clones to co-ops. You can't make profit off anything with medical marijuana. You can be rembersed for what it cost you but no profit. If you looking to make a income on medical marijuana then you're looknig to have problems later on down the line. If you a really interested then when you become a patient you can talk to a couple of you're local co-ops to see about helping them out with that.

That is good to know. I appreciate the info. At the moment I've been told by my doctor not to count on staying in my job too much longer. My doctor wants to prescribe me Lyrica, which is an update version of Neurotin. I am afraid to take this stuff. The side effects are horrible and discontinuing the medication without proper doctor's supervision can kill me. I haven't taken it yet. I've been on percocet for 3 years and was on Duragesic (synthetic morphine derivitive) too. I discontinued Duragesic. The low dosages of that stopped working...that meant higher dosages. So I quit cold turkey. I started using marijuana for a few months to help curb all of the problems. It helped out some. Not a cure. I knew it would not hurt me like these other pain meds. Being that my job can drug test me...I had to discontinue marijuana. My doctor doesn't support marijuana and says they can test at anytime. If they find it in my system they can discontinue my treatment. So I have been off it for sometime. I am covered under health insurance under my union. But if I have to quit because of these back problems...I will have no coverage. I am trying to find options here. Thanks for the information. I would like to keep in touch.
