Obtaining an MMIC card

How exactly would I go about obtaining the MMIC card? I do have a Medicann card at the moment and was curious if the Medicann physician would also be willing to sign MMIC forms. I just want to cover all basis of legality aspects, and have heard the MMIC card is the best route.

I just want to be clear I am not someone without any recommendation for medical marijuana coming on here asking how to get a card. I'm just asking specifically about the California State ID Card program.

I have learned it offers much more law protection.

Do I use my same physician? Will I need to find a specific physician to evaluate myself? Just curious if anyone has one and can provide any insight.
