Gordon Smith - our opponent is up for election, but that dioesn't mean his opponent is our friend. We need to know where they both stand.

I think we should all consider giving Gordon Smith and Jeff Merkeley a call and say something like this:

Rep. Barney Frank, who doesn't even represent a medical marijuana state, has introduced in the House a bill called "H.R. 5842 The Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act" but there is no corresponding bill in the Senate. I would like to ask you, as my Senator, and as a representative of a state with a medical marijuana law, to introduce such legislation to protect the Oregon Medical Marijuana Patients you represent. Thank you.

While you are at it, hit Wyden too. I sent all three letters by snail mail. It took me less than 10 minutes.
