Outdoor Mother, Indoor Babies?

Hey everyone. Just like to say whats up since I'm new here.

I have a friend that has an outdoor plant currently, and i was wondering if taking a clone and start growing inside will there be any problems?

It is in soil also, will changing the medium and grow conditions produce any problems?

Before you bring them in search them for bugs. Maybe do a neem dunk or something simular. Outdoors there are natural predators for the bugs but indoors your the only natural predator. If a few mites or thrips are missed your entire grow can be ruined do to them. I've been there.
