Doctor who remembers oath?

Hey guys---Rhode Islanders and everyone else,

I am a 45 year old with medical problems, including chronic pain. Every doctor I have been to in RI has either not taken the time to find out about the law, or has decided they just won't prescribe it. They don't mind prescribing me 60 O*ycontins at a time tho!!! Why? cause I have to come back and pay them more if I want refills. It's disgusting in this state, I have been to at least 20 doctors and specialists who have turned my request down. I am finding myself giving up... if any of u guys out there have a doctor who still remembers his oath and isn't at a Phizer conference in Hawaii , maybe you could take a minute to send me an email, I would really appreciate it..

Have you found a Doc yet? As a disabled Teamster, former Truck driver and Licensed Hydraulic Engineer, Heavy Equipment Operator, Explosives, HazMat certified etc. I have seen first hand the different way many healthcare professionals treat the sick when dealing with people who actually are injured, permanently disabled, or dying. it borders on crimminal. The great equalizer money is unfortunately depleting when not working and trying to get better.
First they assume we are broke, Medication Seekers, and a general pain in the ass, when they ask about injuries, symptoms, side effects, prescription histories, Pharmacy records, Medical Records etc. It is only after money, test results, symptoms and injuries that are substantiated, diagnosis confirmed, do we begin to get any respect and be treated decently. This must change. I was with one Dr. religuosly for 3 years, when a flawed test result caused him to discharge me. When I got it corrected by professionals he apologized but F*#k him, I would not go back and had already removed him off my cards the first day.
We must command respect everywhere, going anywhere sloppy or disheveled should be discouraged.
Always shave if possible and be clear.
Do not allow anyone to speak sanctimoniously to us!
If they have a hard time understanding our needs slow down and try to educate them, not everyone thinks like we do.
Stay informed and keep others informed if there is a Dr that is a jerk let people know HOW he treats his patients but be precise. (This hits them in the pocketbook and eventually they will get it)
Do not be afraid to state safety and support networks should a problem arise
How we communicate with each other State Wide, Nation Wide, Net Wide.

You are right on about the pills and no compassion, try coming off Oxy's when the script runs out it is dreadful.
