Hey friends,

With autoflower plants,

What will happen if the light is turned off permanently over period 15 to 24 hours. I mean the plant can take it right ?

Is the only possible implication here is if the plant is nearing flowering this might trigger its flowering period, and with autoflower plants we might invoke its flowering prematurely ?? So perhaps lights off should be avoided until when the plant is about to autoflower or is already flowering ?

So does this mean if the plant is flowering ... the plant can safely take the 20hrs or so lights off time ?

On an autoflower - or any plant - I don't think the effect would be terminal. Think about what happens in nature. We've had storms roll through our area that leave the skies totally black for days on end, no harm to any of my fruits/veggies outside. I think the biggest detriment in having the lights off in your grow is loss of time and momentum.
