Hi Dain, most people like Blue Berry, Bubblegum, and Sour Diesel.
I would pick the ever popular Blue Berry. How important is the taste. It is a big concern. I have smoked some very good pot that I would not want to smoke again, just because it tasted bad.

Flavor is a key concern for me. Especially in a vaporizer. Nothing worse than that vaping some bud that is not properly cured/dried. Taste like lawn clippings. I would gladly give up a little potency in favor of good flavor.

for my latest project flavor is key. Most of the cannabis i work with will get the job done but in an atempt to improve my growing technic and gentic stock i want to really bring out the flavor and bouquet of the, as i call them, flavor strains.A flavor strains to me is one that is defind as much for it's taste as anything else. This idear of growing for flavor came from greenhouse seed's terpen graph's.I am still learning how to read them.It got me looking at cannabis difrently for the first time in years.I mean what separatets thunderbird wine from a cabernet sauvinew?I mean they both will work but dam i dont smoke no brick weed.So with this in mind i have been rounding up diffrent company's version's of certin strain's.The first project is already under way.Bubble gum is sold by a bunch of store's and i have some seeds for breeding and some for cloneing. Some of these store's were the first to work with the original bubble gum.Now i am looking at what can be done to help a plant taste it's best. For this project flavor is just as important as the head if not more so and defintly more important than yeild.

We are definately on the same page with this one. I look at 420 the same way I do wine. There are many types and so many subtle and not so subtle flavors. I want to enjoy the taste rather than deal with something nasty just to get a buzz. A huge plus of growing our own is that we can control the process start to finish. No worries about get a bag that was pulled early/late, dried in and oven and shoved out the door. My grow is for personal use and to share with a select few friends that have no idea I am even growing. Never will I make a dime on my product. Not the reason I dove into this adventure. Quality control is #1. |

I thought the line about the wine was a bit to much but we must educate our pallet's.Greenhouse seed's flavor wheel helps me a lot when trying to put a flavor into word's that can be understood(somethings have no words)The four core flavors are sweat, spicy, bitter, and sour and it works it way out from there.

I'm starting a grow with Dinafem Diesel, CH9 Aroma, and Green House Big Bang. I like the Diesel for the taste, the Aroma for the smell, and Big Bang for the yeild. These are 3 seperate plants, grown in the same room. I cant wait to see the results.
I think taste is important. Especially if you've smoked some nasty tasting stuff. Or maybe as you Look for more then just high. I smoked some Diesel, and it tasted so good, had my head zooming, it was like whoa. I think I could even blend buds of all three strains and have a mega-blend. |

I am going to have to agree with you Ms. chump stain the taste alone of true sour's is one that evry smoker should try.THe first time i tried sour D i thought we were using some sort of flavored paper's.That is one strain that is definetly known for it's tatse. |
