What strains work best for you as an aphrodisiac

High all,

My girlfriend and I are both in our mid-fifties and both enjoy getting high. We bought some nice bud a number of months back and wow did it make the both of us horny! Since then Lemon Kush and Chocolope don't do anything for the sex drive. I don't know what the strain was that got us going so well. I want to grow a few strains myself and was wondering what the members here find to be their favorite strains for having awesome sex.

Good question- different people respond differently to different strains. Me, I like ultra strong sativas... and the mrs seems to respond well to these also. But we've also had nice hybrids and indicas that do it too. So it's hard to recommend one or another, but from the strains mentioned you might go haze/skunk/sativa rather than indica (like those two).

There is one strain that works particularly well on women, Rude Queen (aptly named), but it would be rare to come across that one unless you happen to know the right grower. As far as I know there are only a few people who have it. Barring that, Sage works pretty well, although the high is fairly short-lived.

Sadly, I know no growers. So I'd like to hear more about commercial strains that I can get from the usual sponsors!!

personally i would say anything with a soaring sativa high would be good for sex so you dont get too tired lol

Congratulations on not being dead.

If the problem is of a physical nature, cannabis might not help as much as you'd like (although I could be wrong and hope I am). Could put you into kind of one of those "the spirit is willing, but horse the body just wouldn't gallop" situations where you'd be a little frustrated. Not sure how well cannabis works for increasing blood-flow, closing valves, and all that.

It is fact that a large number of ED patients lack the drive for various reasons. As they don't prescribe drugs for such, we have aphrodisiacs. I agree sativas are the best bet. I am sure there is a placebo effect for many with current ED drugs. Doctors here have no problems scripting drugs and supporting pharma here in the US. You not happy, here take this. Cant get it up now? Here take this.... but that causes this.. ok here take this.... it's a viscous circle.

When it comes to human sexuality the psyche is a complicated place. An example without sounding crude.... Some men can masturbate no problem but performing with a partner is another story. As well as maintaining an erection. Women on the other hand are another animal. Some can orgasm by masturbation and but not with a partner. As well, each one is unique in their own way it seems in that department. So what works for the goose may not work in the same way for the gander. My guess is its the mutual sharing and physiological rapture building that is working. Try candle light, cannabis, and lingerie in any combo, I don't think you can lose. Throw in a hot tub, a nude swim, add some excitement.

I decided to try the Sativas: Sage (Thanks ChroniCowgirl), Afghan Kush, and White Widow.

Now I have everything ready and will start my grow journal as soon as the seeds arrive.

I recently had my first grow , it went well in my opinion especially for my first time. the seeds were of a unknown variety ( just bag seeds ) anyways I got a little paranoid ( I live in a non friendly grow state , but the laws are rapidly changing ) because of my paranoia I harvested a little early , trichomes were not ripe. I cured and dried a minimal 30 days. It got me fairly high , but even better than the high I realized that most of my aches and pains had faded. Then one day I returned home from work at 6 am , after 6 nights straight , took a small 1 hitter and wham bam it was on with me and the wifey ,, long lasting powerful sex , was she ever satisfied then I went again and a third time. this may be nothing for some people , but I am in my 50's and for me this was the shit. I smoked weed many years but this weed I grew has vastly improved my sex life . Do you think it could be due to fact I harvested early ? The buzz isn't super , super but the medicinal and aphrodisiac effect are phenominal. It didn't make me horney like some weed , but once stimulated it damn sure eliminated any premature ejaculation issues. Any comments ?
