For a sativa, they look very indica dominate. ?

    They're lookin' nice Munki.

Always been interested in this strain, so curious to see how they turn out.

Agreed. All four strains I have going right now look to be leaning towards indica traits. We shall see how it plays out.

    Re: Mandala Seeds Satori Strain

Hey everybody. I have a question.

I'm about 12 days into flower with a Satori plant and it looks like it's one of the skyrocket phenos. I have 7 feet of height in my tent. Do I need to worry about this plant reaching the ceiling?

I'm not a big fan of LST. I tried it before and I didn't notice much improvement in yield. It was a pain in the keister to tie and stake the buds when they began to swell.

I use CFLs so it's easier for me to let it grow naturally with 1 big cola and hang some big 67 watt CFL's along the sides to cover the whole plant with light. That's my method.

Thanks for this thread. Very informative.

    Hey Zoom

Didn't notice a big difference in my phenos. Not to say it can't happen. I've had some Mandela Speed Queen really stretch (like two feet).

But with all five of my satoris (the other five in the pack were males), I didn't see much stretching at all. I was a little shocked, actually.

I started flowering at three feet and finished less than five. DON'T take this as the word though...I had a bit of a PH problem with my first grow.

I'll tell you though, they grow themselves. I think the next time I grow them, I wouldn't even fertilize them. Quite shocking really. Just Fox Farms Ocean and 6.5 water and away you go.

Man, I love Mandela seeds...so easy to grow.

Hey zzoomm100, I'd love to see some pics of the final cola so share a couple of them here when you're ready, ok?

I have a couple of Satori just go past 4 weeks in my Munki's Playground thread. Come by and check it out. Lots of daily pictures ... LED ... hempy

Thanks for the info on your plants Caddie.

I will definitely post some pics when they get interesting Munki. I'm gonna read your thread.

I may have jumped the gun on my diagnosis. My Satori was growing like crazy but today it looked like it may just be slowing down. It remains to be seen...

I'm pretty excited about this plant because I've never tried this strain before and because I only germinated three seeds and kaboom, one of them revealed herself as a female. Can you say hell to the yes?

Anyhow, I'm not an experienced grower-- this is just my 3rd grow-- but I've learned from all of my mistakes. There's nothing like growing your own meds.

I have two Delta9 Labs Cannasutra plants growing right next to the Satori. Their sex is still to be determined but if I get lucky maybe I'll throw some info out there later. It's hard to find any grow logs on this strain.

Here is my Satori on the 34th day of flowering. It stopped growing at 48". Using CFLs and a small amount of nutes and molasses.

Looks great, zzoomm100. Is the Satori in soil?

I like the hanging CFLs. I may run a couple to cover dark corners of my tent.

Yep, my plants are in 3 gallon bags of FFOC Munki.

The hanging bulbs are the 67 watt 2700K bulbs which you can find at Home Depot for around $13.00. They're perfect for supplementary lighting if you place them real close right in between plants.

I have a 4x4x7 tent. It's really too large for just CFLs so I use a lot of them. Here's a look for the CFL crew:

    And what the...what's this?

Yep, a couple of Satori clones. I'm probably going to regret it in a month but it's my last grow of the year so I said what the heck. Triple the pleasure, triple the fun.
