Great info! This is the type of responcible gardening we should all be doing! The benifits are amazing! Save money, help the earth, grow AMAZING QUALITY BUDS AND VEGIES!!!, and totally get the most of your seeds genetics, why not?
I'm now looking into compost teas, as I have heard that by leaching out the compost in liquid form, you can give your plants a nice boost further into the season. I would apprieciate any info on that if anyone has it.

With winter not too far around the corner, well at least for me, what would you suggest as far as keeping a compost pile?

Cold will slow down the composting process, so I'd dig a hole and trench compost vs. an above ground pile if you're looking to start now.

Larger piles will have an easier time keeping heat in, or you might try the black trash can method I described earlier in the thread.
