How do I confirm geo tagging is off?

I have a iPhone 6 with the latest iOS and Will be using the camera to photograph my grow that I plan on starting this weekend. Can anyone help me turn off the Geo tagging as well as tell me how I can make sure that it is indeed off?

it depends on your version of ios... by default go to:
settings --> privacy --> location services --> camera (make sure 'never' is selected)

however - in reality, the metadata is what is 'sold' to target you for ads, etc, so you can never really get rid of it without paying for it one way or the other - now metadata is commonly called "Exif" -and it contains more info than the old 'metadata' (think better targeting for ads) -- i don't think apple lets you open delete exif any longer - i use a product called 'viewexif' and it's $.99 in the app store - it's worth the cost if you really want your phone photos to be anonymous...
