that's so clever! imaginative!
it's not something i COULD do, with a shop vac, towels and a leak call, from the water municipality, but how much, in weight, with that much root space? will u skip veg, there? turnaround vs bulk? that's a thing of beauty. very pro lookin!
I'm thinkin of your house, in the morning and something about peewee herman? nutty prof? crazy! or the battle room, in robin williams' toys... that's your Christmas?
these r the people who always beat us, in the Halloween costume contests, in 4th grade ... i think we can take him!

density, equals mass, divided by volume. the square root of 1, is 1. the hypotenuse of a right triangle is a2+b2... genius! i think i bruised my brain, looking at it. I'm going back to watching the jetsons,, where i can REALLY, learn something.

I have run two grows with this set up and both have produced just north of 220 grams dry. One run with four plants and one with three. I have three in it at the moment but would like to try two and see if it will produce the same weight. Not much worries with leaks as most of the plumbing (aka the header pipe) is inside the res.

are you grooming the roots, or are they sittin in the tub, when you finish?
and if you're busy, nm. cause I'll never b able to do this. I'm just intrigued by what I'm seein.
i do trim so they don't tangle; easier if i need to move one... it's not been an issue.

and for anyone wondering- 200 dry, means he's able to support more like 1000gr (kilo), at the stalk. that's crazy. i have 6" netpots, i have to cable back to level, at times and i can assure u, none have been over 1LB, at the stalk (wet... he knows...).

The 200 grams is the total of all the plants in the system, works out to just over a gram per led watt. With more light I am sure the weight will increase exponentially. I would think even one plant alone in my system would produce the same weight. And yes the roots sit altogether in the res.

yeah, i can see the pipe u chose would be sturdy. i think u understood exactly my question- so yeah... tree trunk would fit, then. it is hydroton, isn't it? cause i think my imagination ends, there, so i could see YOU choosing a medium i may not b aware of, for support, with that minimal depth, before the curve. is it something else u went with? more supportive? I'd be open to something new, to that end.

for that size of plant- I'm just checkin, but if that's all u require- you don't need to veg, if you're not already skippin it. took me 2 seasons, to work it out and in the end (thank God): common sense, was enough, far as chems.

(in hot pocket comedian voice) "his pellets r yellow"... (with envy). "yellow, is more reflective"... (same, raspy, voice).

Good thing about the sturdy pipes, they pack solid full of root ,even the pocket with no plant, right up to the net pot. Yea a bit of a story on the medium. I start them off in a rockwool plug, when roots are showing I then drop them in the net pot, usually in a 3"rockwool block. No rockwool or hydroton within a three hour drive. So aquarium grade pea gravel well work fine right. Well to a point , The pea gravel packs so tight it stopped all roots dead. By placing the plug at the bottom of the netpot and supporting it with the pea gravel worked wonders, and the plants exploded with growth.
As far as veg. four weeks is usually plenty but this round it will be six because of the stall caused by the pea gravel.
