    Thanks, tried one of those 300$ kits and it was a piece of crap, neck warped and at wrong angle, action too high, crappy hardware/pickups/wood did not result in a quality playable instrument, never again. At first I would buy body and neck blanks and machine those but now for the most part they are built from scratch, I buy the book matched flamed maple tops/rosewood covers and prefer pre-slotted fretboards but the rest is done by hand. It's all done with jigs, bandsaw, router, dremel and exacto knife, a little carving and days of sanding, every one is a little different. It's a labor of love as each one takes me about 250 hours to complete. I don't build them for people as they are too expensive and time consuming but I do the occasional finishing job, dye and laquer.
