DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

Right just an update with my progress. The pizza box idea is a bit of a failure. Maybe the boxes are cheap but I don’t see how you can get better quality cardboard pizza boxes. They are losing their integrity and getting a bit soggy in the fridge due to the moisture. Since I had 15 boxes...

My bud must be too big then I’ll need to break it up a bit more was trying to keep this huge fist bud in tact

How often do you turn your buds to prevent them going flat on one side? I’m opening and turning once per day at the moment and it’s going flat

How did that work out for you? I read a few posts people saying without bags they dry too quick

Everyone is putting their buds in paper bags that do not have ventilation though?

Surely the buds can still mold in the fridge? How do you explain food going off and growing mold in the fridge? If I leave strawberries or any other fruit in my home fridge too long they grow mold

So I harvested one large bud and put it in the fridge with a hygrometer to check what it would be like. The fridge has enough room for 50 pizza boxes... I have only 1 bud in there at the moment and my humidity is sky high... I imagine if I add more wet buds the humidity will reach 100% what...

One of my buds has mold on it. Stupid of me to turn off my circulation fans this run as the noise was annoying me. I’ve chopped off that bud and binned it. Will low and slow prevent mold from spreading to the rest of the buds in the fridge or is the whole harvest done for?

I would do paper bags but I won’t be able to stack them I need to be able to stack to get the most out of the space I suppose a few holes drilled in the sides of the pizza boxes will work for air exchange. I can get a pack of 50 18 inch pizza boxes off eBay plain cardboard no dye very cheap...

DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

Got my dedicated fridge today for this. It’s nearly 7ft tall and 2 ft deep and wide. I’ve found a supplier of 18 inch pizza boxes. Do you think the pizza boxes will be fine stacked on top of each other? Im concerned that the pizza box lid needs air flow around it to move the moisture and...

DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying: Maximizing Your Harvest

Seems strange that it smells when first harvested with way more chlorophyll and then part way through dry it’s all gone when it has less chlorophyll though? I guess I’ll wait it out and see. I’m thinking I may have more wrong with my grow methods though as over 25 harvests I’ve never had bud...

Can you explain how this is the case? I don’t understand where the smell could go and what jaring at 60% humidity does that makes smell reappear?

Ok well I’ve opened them all up and left them to burp then. Room is 60% atm and buds were 77 when I took them out of the sealed containers.. I just don’t see how drying longer can make any smell come back.
