I like to start them indoors or just in elevated pots before putting them in the ground for better survival rate. Something usually gets them when they are small, bugs, rodents, dogs.

Another option for exterior walls is "smart panel". Comes in 4x8', easier to work with than hardi and cheaper. You shouldn't need any tuff stuff if you insulate the corners before installing siding since you can't get to it from inside. Put lots of receptacles (plugs) and preferably 2 circuits...

Just finished my first grow in hydro (rdwc) with bought seeds. Been growing mostly outdoors for 40 years with bag seeds. This grow took 12 weeks to mature (from 12/12 flip), but the seed description said 9. My question is do seed companies start flower times from start of 12/12, or first signs...
