Help with brown spots in organic grow

I think you're on the right track with just water. Still looking like nutrient burn to me. You could maybe let a good bit of water drain out the bottom next time you water if you want to be on the safe side. If it's really spreading fast, then definitely water it really good and then remove the...

Shelf life of H2O & nutrients

re: Shelf life of H2O & nutrients Looks like superthrive which is a .5-0-0 but it contains alot of the same ingedients as your average micro nutrient bottle would.

Help with brown spots in organic grow

It's hard to tell from one picture, but judging by how dark green the leaves are and the browned tips, it could be over fertilization. Try using just water for a week and if it starts to improve, then you know to dilute the nutrients more when you start using then again after the plant stabilizes.

Moldy air cooler - How to clean?

cracked me up about drinking the water. Waste water from your a/c should be essentially distilled water because it's pulling evaporated water out of the air. Anything extra in the water could only be caused by dust settling in the catch resovoir or byproducts of any living organisms in the...

Shelf life of H2O & nutrients

re: Shelf life of H2O & nutrients Scientific, I looked in a hydrofarm catalogue at the feed schedule section. You're right that they don't specify on the drain to waste schedules, but they do specify on the recirculating schedules to keep the solution aerated. So I had to assume that if the...

Shelf life of H2O & nutrients

re: Shelf life of H2O & nutrients Most nutrient manufacturers generally recommend speifically to not let nutrient soultions sit stagnant. This is because if the nutrient soultion is left stagnant the molecules have a chance to settle, concentrate, and then mingle. If any heavy molecules bond...

Moldy air cooler - How to clean?

If an air cooler is the same thing as an air conditioner then wash it with clorine, spray sanatizer or anything you want to as long as the waste water never touches the plants. Clean the catch resovoir out whever it gets full or starts to look moldy or algae covered. You don't want to...

Shelf life of H2O & nutrients

re: Shelf life of H2O & nutrients If you bubble the nutrients constantly with an air stone and pump, then the nutrients will last 10 days maximum. If the water is stagnant, I would not use the water if it has sat for more than 24hours. A five gallon bucket with soil in it should take around...

Is this russet mite damage or what

Hi Ernball420 This looks like over fertilization to me and not really like russet mite damage. The leaf curl from russet mites will usually go farther down the leaf fingers to the stem and the curled leaves will have a rough look to them like fine sand paper. I'm not familliar with browned leaf...

Pineapple Chunk Deficiency - Soil Grow

I'm going to second the possible heat/light too close issue. And also add that the yellowing looks like a calcium/magnesium either imbalance or definiency. Cal/mag problems can also manifest as and be intertwined with pH issues because of the stabilizing nature of those particular minerals.

Looking for help on droopy leaves

If the root zone smells bad at any point, it's a sure sign of either over watering or a serious nutrient or pH problem. Best thing to do in this situation would be to water less often (but don't let the plant wilt) with a very mild nutrient solution (like less than 1/4 of what is recomended) and...

    Scrog please

Scrog is different than topping. Technically, you can top your plants many times - if you do it properly - although there is some controversy over how productive a plant will be after you top it a certain number of times. A handful of times is generally considered safe, some might say you...

2nd time around - Girls are getting ill and I have no clue

Looks alot like nutrient burn to me. I would back off a little on the ppm and see what happens. Your plants look very healthy so you have a little time to experiment and figure out whats going on.

Strain recommendations for greenhouse in the southwest US

Thank you both for the recomendations. Lipidz: Those are some interesting strains you put out there. I'll have to look more into most of them. I ran stawb cough and bb indoors for many years. Loved them both. Dctikitiki: I actually ran bubble gum in this house last year and it was AWSOME...
