I'd say you can cover half of it, 4x8 space. Leave the other half open for working room. Or get more lights.

You're still going to want to put that 1000w about 20" - 24" away from the plants. Regardless of grow style.

A good rule of thumb growers use is to have 50w per square foot. In a 5x5 area is 25 sq ft, if we times that by 50w per you get 1,250watts. Therefore a 1000w is best suited for 4x4 - 5x5 areas. You're not going to just put the light at the very top of the tent and have it work, you need light...

It will work if you grow in half of the tent and leave the other half to walk in and do work, put an A/C or whatever else.

Definitely get some SNS-217 and spray them with that, focusing on the underside of the leaves. You have to use preventative methods in order to stop them. Spray with Aza Max and SNS weekly until you're week 2 into flowering. This almost always prevents any bug problems from ever occurring.
