I use Samsung strips @5000k along with my Cree 3590 COBs @ 3500k to add blues in veg, swap out for strips @3000k for bloom. I also have added mono stars in deep red, far red, and UVA. I haven't tested quantum boards, but the strips are basically the same thing. What you'll notice right away is...

Welcome Tracy! As a few have already stated, a grow journal would help you immensely. Also, I agree with adding more light. Even just adding a 5000k CFL over each baby for now would be a big help.

I love the DIY aspect of growing and considering building my own carbon filter. I see this is an older thread, so my question is; how long can you use this style filter before it needs to be recharged? I'm tired of spending $100 on filters that you might get a year out of.
