Re: Dimmers on the new lights..
I just ordered a SP-150 to replace a broken Reflector 96 series. I've noticed the larger, more expensive lights have dimmers. My reflector series had a veg & flower settings, the SP-150 does not. Other than time on and off differences between veg & flower...
Hi Sara,
My Reflector 96 series dropped 1-grow side and I'm in the middle of bloom. I'm contacting Kelly about getting it repaired and will probably sell it and upgrade. Since the Reflector series is being phased out I'm looking at the SP150. Besides not having a fan, what is the advantage of...
Yea, the water farm is only good for 1-plant. But, they make a system for multiple plants. I think it's a reasonable investment when considering the reduced costs required for nutes and additives.
Never had any root problems. Probably because of weekly water changes. It only holds 2-gals so it's super easy. Don't know why more folks don't use these.
Yea, I raised salt water fish and have several wet dry filters. I was going to adapt one and use a DWC. I think the real benefit is the highly oxygenated water. Then I discovered Water Farms. Same principle much more simple and cheap. Been using one with the same media for 5-years.
I have a Mars 96 and have used it on 3-grows. I start from seed and the seedling, 7-days old, I use water farms and the leaves look wilted and are curling up. I have the light about 24" above the plant and am not using any nutes yet. Any ideas? Light too close?
That's really good! I think you get a nice yield. I found trimming helps develops smaller buds on the lower growth. Not as large as the big guys next to the lights, but still nice.
Looks like your screen is about 15"-18" above the pots? Leaf canopy 10" above the screen, and lights are 15" above the canopy? How many colas(sp?) (bud heads) do you think you have? Have you considered thinning out the big leaves? I do it because I'm using LED's and need all the help I can get.
Looks great Aprosjat!
Are you still experiencing stretch?? How high is the canopy above the screen? I had problems with my last scrog using Akcata Train Wreck. My canopy was about 30" above the screen. Good luck can't wait to see the final tally!
Dang Gazoo, very impressive sir. Assuming the Indica is in the middle. That's a perfect side by side example of the differences. And the last pic...a perfect scrog, uniform height, full screen, good job. I don't have much luck scrogging a Sativa. It just get's too long and scraggly. Take it...
I just finished 3rd grow. 1-plant in a cabinet. I hate cutting the plant. Over 3-1/2 months of making love to this thing every day and to kill her, strip her, and hang her to dry...sob. But, after being dead in jars for 6-weeks she sure smells and taste good!
Out of both methods which do you...
Yea, unfortunately that is true. Other than the 420 folks here, I don't know anyone that grows. I need to spend more time in the journals room. Would learn a lot. How long do you anticipate it will take for your grow, and does a hydro operation make things go quicker?
Oh yea, me too.
I've never heard of a scrog grow with autos. What was total time, germination to cut? Veg vs bloom nutes, did that delay flowering? I believe yield is always lower with autos, so don't beat yourself up too bad.
6-plants, stealth, and you don't want to smell?? Good luck with that. I use a metal office cabinet, 72" X 36" X 18" have 1-plant in a scrog hydro grow and get a consistent 6-8 oz. Cabinet is in my basement and vents outside through an unused dryer vent. I go through 3-air filter changes each...
