Why does my cured bud taste crappy?

I've heard that and I've also heard otherwise... Based on anecdotal reports like this, I figured it was worth flushing/watering with plain pH-ed water for the last week at least. I know that there is often a lot of unfounded "bro science" used to justify flushing, so wasn't convinced by that...

Why does my cured bud taste crappy?

This was about the same environment I dried mine in, but in a closet rather than my tent. I ended up going about a week because the smaller branches/stems were still quite pliable, but when I took them down to trim I found that the buds were much drier than expected. Once in a jar my hygrometer...

Why does my cured bud taste crappy?

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured. And yes, Pbass, it definitely does the job, so I'm not too upset about it. Just wondering what I could do on future grows to improve the final flavor. It smells so good that it's a shame more of that flavor doesn't transfer to the taste.

Why does my cured bud taste crappy?

Hi all, about three months ago I finished up a grow of some Mephisto Genetics Sour Stomper autoflower plants. The buds are covered in trichomes and smell fantastic, but when smoked they taste basically like schwag/low grade "dirt" weed. Any idea why this might be or what I should change? For...

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Hey folks! Sorry for the delay, it's been a hectic month, and it took longer for my seeds to arrive than I'd hoped. Anyway, here's an update from my grow so far. I planted two Mephisto Sour Stomper seeds in jiffy peats on February 19th. So far, one seedling has blown up and seems to be thriving...

That’s what I’d heard re:LEDs. Better get an order in!

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Awesome, @Dutchman1990 I'm going to jump over and follow your grow as well. It does indeed sound like we have a pretty similar grow going on, though I'm running under LEDs and having incredible difficulty getting my RH higher than about 30%. The babies are under a dome for now, so it's not a...

Oh, and it's good to know that the MegaCrop schedule is accurate and doesn't actually need to be cut down the way the other manufacturers' do.

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Thanks for the tips @MrSauga ! I grew photos years ago, some indoor and some outdoor, but it's been long enough and the growing world has changed enough that I might as well be starting from scratch. But I have indeed done a lot of research and reading, so hopefully this one will go well. As I...

Pro-mix HP is considered a soilless medium, not soil, but I'll look into Biobizz anyhow. As I said previously, unfortunately, right now I don't really have the time or space necessary to build a living soil, compost, and brew compost tea.

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Nothing will be going from soil into the LPA box, or from the LPA into soil. I have a couple of pepper seedlings in rockwool that will likely go into the LPA box, but the Sour Stomper seedlings will be going into Pro-Mix HP with added perlite. I do actually have a humidity dome and 1020 tray...

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Dang, already doing something wrong. The GH Maxi-series aren't bottled, they're powdered. I went with them for my first grow because they seem to be pretty commonly used and I was looking for simplicity and no clogging, as I was considering running at least some of the plants in the low pressure...

Thursday's Soilless Sour Stomper & Chilies Grow, 2019

Hey folks, after months of reading and researching I'm just getting ready to embark on my first indoor grow. I figured I'd start a journal here as a way to keep track of everything. This grow will probably be considered a bit unusual because I am growing an autoflower strain (Sour Stomper by...
