Apologies for the delay. I over participated in the 4th holiday. Yea they look good to chop.
Never used a bowl trimmer but I have been looking at making a tumble trimmer. Some folks here say they work well. I may invest in one. The hand takes a toll if trimming by yourself
I am very interested in this. Thought about giving micro dosing a try.
I have personally grown oyster, button, and shiitake mushrooms before. Being clean and sterile is key. I probably won't get the clicking noise from the pressure cooker out of my head lol once I think about it. Kinda annoying.
As mentioned above, that's a big tent and requires a good amount of equipment. All the recommendations mentioned above are solid.
Also, 4 of our 500w lights is another option. The option in the above post offers more flexibility and better light distribution.
I have had the yellowing before. Have you tried upping beyond 5 grams yet? I have noticed if I veg longer than 6 weeks, the plant demands more. For example, week 1 of flower i am hitting 5.5 grams. By week 5 I hit almost 7 with. 7 grams of BE.
The difference has already been noted. The LM301H is the more efficient diode. However, factors come to play into the light build and thr drive current of the diodes on the lights.
However, I am sure the manufacturer knows this so in theory the 301 will be a better performer. I still like the...
That sounds right and basically what I would have said! I follow a very similar schedule in my personal tents. My veg tent (I have a 500w in 3500k in it) Is set to 250w at all times. I leave the light at the top of my tent. I have found it gives the plants the light they need and they grow into...
Hey! I hope the light is treating you well. No it will not interfere too much. It will "change" the available light some but nothing major. The main light will still dominate. We are in the process of engineering side lighting or vertical grow lighting.
Just watch the plants and behavior after doing it. May need to lower the lights slightly. It is normally strain / plant dependant tho. I have a ghee butter cut that in both veg and flower, loves light.
On the other hand, I have a deep breath cut that struggles with light and is a stinker to...
Yes in veg the requirements are different. We have plenty of growers that run veg at 50% power and maintain a closer to plant distance. Some even have done it with as little as 25% power at 12" height.
For example, in my personal veg tent (4 x 4), I dim our 500w Veg light down to 250w. I have...
For a 4 x 4, typically people look for around 480w to stick to a 30 watt per sq ft. Some go higher and some go lower. The next thing to look for is the distribution of light. High wattage is great but it is not the only factor. Also the lights efficiency plays a role.
As @Stunned mentioned...
