    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

Time to invest in some better trimmers bro! You'd be surprised how much of a difference in speed it makes.

Arduinos In The Grow Room: My Project

that's the love and hate relationship i have with windows; the inevitable reload-it-to-make-it-faster cycle. VS Code is a good alternative for Arduino development too, if you haven't tried it out. VStudio is pretty awesome already, so I wouldn't blame you for sticking with that.

Just noticed this... but later on you do the mySqlConnectionClose(); again towards the end of the routine. How does your .execute() method even work correctly on a closed connection?

    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

Make sure you get a system that supports an encrypted file system and a full end-to-end-encrypted connection if you decide to remotely monitor. Especially if you're going to be storing 2 weeks worth of growing weed. ;)

Sorry I haven't commented much, but following your activity. Your variable getting appended may be just be a good old-fashioned memory leak. Did you put a mySqlConnection.close() back into your code at least? As far as home-etching, I have yet to see a hobby version worth anything that's...

    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

Heya HM! Grab a dehumidifier with a drain line pump, run the drain line, set it to your desired range, sleep better. You can pick up some really nice units for under $200. Can’t wait for you to bust out that PAR meter, will you do a PAR map of your tents to confirm the 50% vs 100% feels...

Arduinos In The Grow Room: My Project

Have you looked in to MQTT for your messaging? I'd highly recommend it if you haven't already. Glad you're taking a break, that's how the creative mind operates... the ebb and flow of creativity isn't something you can just do on demand and we all need a bit of time to decompress too! Will be...

    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

It'll work fine, it's basically distilled water at that point. I've done it for years. You'll lose most of the trace elements that you might be unknowingly (?) depending on for your plant nutrition (I don't use your nutes, so I'm not sure). Not at your circulation rate, unless your...

I do read them, but won't be interacting or commenting over there - hope you can appreciate why. :yummy:

    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

Some notes when I switched to flood/drain: more feeding (flooding) cycles will push your RH up. Not a bad thing, but needs to be accounted for I've done everything from 2x per 24hrs to 1x every 2hrs on cycles times. For the current run, I've settled at 15 minute flood/drain cycle every 2hrs...

Arduinos In The Grow Room: My Project

Do an i2c broadcast time packet from a single RTC source ;) Easy enough for you to open source it, and not lose any control - just put it on github, make it public, and encourage pull requests for anyone that wants to contribute. it's that easy. Hells yeah! haha I'm not sure that I am the...

    Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

I can only imagine the fun you're having right now! Would it violate your design senses to simply move it outside of the tent? Makes more room available inside, and you wouldn't have to disturb the girls if you needed access to the res during lights out. Moving mine outside let the res...

Arduinos In The Grow Room: My Project

I manage the connection on a timed interval, and the other code that runs in Setup() was more important to me to get going before that. The Blynk connect code can cause blocking and a delay more than a couple seconds while the WiFi, etc. does its thing. So the other timers can fire that are...
