dolomite

If someone could point me in the direction of dolomite and ph, that would be great. I am new to this and after reading sooooo many things, I am confused. I guess I am trying to keep things simple(or maybe not). If I add dolomite to my mix, is it true that I don't have to worry about my ph? And...

I went to home depot to buy dolomite lime and all they had was espoma garden lime Is this the same thing as dolomite lime ? And if yes do you mix the same amount of this stuff in your soil as you would dolomite lime ?

Do you have to be careful not to add to much dolomite lime to your soil ? And what will happen if you do add to much dolomite lime to your soil ? If I am using a 1 gallon smart pot how much dolomite lime should i add ? The soil i am using is roots organic original and i am adding in perlite
