Put your hand under the light palm faced down. Move it up and down, if it’s uncomfortable to the back of the hand, it’s uncomfortable for your plants. Use that as a reference to the height you are able to leave the light at. Right now I have two in veg and it is at 16” above the top of my plants, 1000W LED.

Ya i could probably have them a few more inches closer. I just switched from CFL to LED 2 days ago. Ive been working my way dow from 22" to 19" presently. I dont want them to get shocked or stressed from the switch over

LEDs run much cooler then cfl’s, which can be a positive, as well as a negative. You can have the light much closer to the plants without harming the plants. Use the advice with your hand and you should be good.

Secondly, since your doing the switch and don’t want to shock or stress. You can help that by having an 18/6 light schedule, make sure the fan isn’t drying out the leaves. Leave the light to what the manufacturers height suggests. They should be fine. :thumb:

Manufacturer suggest 0.5 meters-1.0m for veg. 1.0-2.0m for flower
Are you sure that's what they recommend?-seems backward
-flower should be closer than veg.

Ill take a pic of the requirements and measurements they sent with the light

I think they have seedling and flowering distance switched.

2.0 meters is more than most folks have available in the tent ,your plants would do nothing but stretch at half that distance .

Lol i agree. Definitely not ordeal haha. I have it at 18" right now. They just started to veg not to long ago. It covers a 4x4 area.

That says a ppfd of 142 umol @ .5m. My guess is 100w draw or less
Yeah I just googled the model UFO-250RBUI and it seems to be a 32w that's advertised as a 50w. I'm confused.
How much did you pay for it @BiGBudzz33 . I could be wrong but I think you might've been ripped off mate.

You may need to invest in a bigger one,or another of the same pretty soon-32 actual watts is good
for about 1 sq.ft. (50w/sq ft is best),so when you flower them, you'll need more light to get decent buds.
But you can cross that bridge when you come to it...
