yeah i used MG organic choice soil, no nutes at all so far. Tomorrow will be 5 weeks in flower, 10 weeks since they broke soil.

Thanks dude! I'm thinking since my lighting sucks, it will take a lot longer to get to harvest than I initially thought, but that's okay, I don't mind waiting for the best possible finished product. I don't really expect the buds to get too big, but there are a lot of them, so I should have a decent amount of smoke when I'm finished. I'm ready for bigger things though, so I need to invest in a light soon.. I got this second job starting in about a week, so after I get some shit paid off, I'll be picking up that 600 watter, some good soil, and good nutes, then the real growing begins

Yeah, I think its an N deficiency. I'm not too worried about it though as the buds are growing very nicely, and the purple stems are all on older leaves that are due to die soon anyway. Even if I was feeding them, they still wouldn't be getting too much N.


They've been in 12/12 for 5 weeks as of today. I initially set my expected harvest date at Nov 3rd which would give them 8 weeks total in 12/12, but I'm thinking I might have to let them go another week or 2.

Purple Stems can actually be showing you a P deficiency. I know you aren't using nutes but you may want to consider a P supplement. It is pretty vital to your yield, but they look good otherwise. Love those pink pistils +reps

Good to know, I would love to start feeding them, but as of now I'm going to have to hold off due to financial reasons. I'll definitely get them for the next grow no matter what, although I'm still going to try and get some if circumstances permit.

thanks dude! I need to throw up some new pics. Charlie mentioned previously about a deficiency due to the purple stems. Last night when i flipped the lights on, i noticed it is spreading quite a bit, and the main stem itself is starting to turn kind of purple. I know I need to feed them a bit, but I'm really strapped for cash right now. Do you guys know any cheap flowering nutes I can use that work decently? I only have a couple of weeks left, so I want to make sure they get through to the end safely.

The buds and plants aren't really getting too much bigger. They haven't really grown much in flower at all, but I'm sure thats due to my poor lighting setup.. Man, i really need to get an HPS. I've been thinking of looking into a 400W so I can get it a bit sooner, but I know I will outgrow it fairly quickly. the 400 is $224 shipped for a digital ballast and outputs 60k lums, its switchable between MH and HPS too, so I don't know, I should be able to flower 5-6 plants under the 400 as long as I keep them trained under the light.

Anyway, the buds are looking very nice. My yield won't be too good, I'll be lucky to get an oz combined dry, but I knew that going in that I wouldn't reach full potential with these lights. I'll probably throw some pics up tonight or tomorrow. I want to attack this deficiency before it turns into a problem. I pruned them a lot yesterday and took off all the dying and dead leaves, so hopefully it helps them to focus on the bud sites.

I have been reading up on making homemade nutes also, do you guys have any experience in that area?

My seedlings are growing very slowly, probably due to the soil and 12/12 light schedule. I don't think I'm going to keep them going since these plants aren't turning out that well. I need to focus on getting better equipment before I start another grow. I learned a ton from this grow and I feel I'm ready to step it up and play with the big dogs
