Ok i want to grow indoors it will be my 2st time.

I want to grow 2 white widow plants,Inside a cupboard.

I am not to sure of what i need but i have an idea.I will add what i will be getting and more experienced users can advise me.

6ftCupboard which is 2ft by 2ft.

I will then paint the inside of this white to help reflect the light.

For the light source i was thinking of using 250watt HPS bulb.

To water the plants i would use rain water at the correct PH level.

As its a tight space i was thinking of using a bathroom fan to suck in clean air(Does this air have to be from outside the house)

For the soil and plant food i would buy from my local gardening center.

Should this be enough i understand white widow is not to difficult to grow

Don't think you can use a hps in such a confined area, especially with just a bathroom fan sucking in air. No it can be the same air in the house. With a hps you will need better ventilation both sucking in and blowing out. Check out some hydro shops online for better air ventilation or find a better alternative. Flouros would be easier to grow with in that tight of a area. HID lighting like HPS really presents heat issues in small spaces.
The widow plant is a easy one. Fairly tough for a hybrid with a legendary name.

I have decided not to use the HPS light.Instead i will go for the CFL light bulbs(energy saving).I might use 2 100watt and maybe a flouro that can be placed down the side of the plant.

Thanks for all that help.

That is a really great video.I have being doing as much research as i can.

I have made a list with germination,watering,feeding,light cycles.etc...

It would be east for me to rig a few cfl`s.Any suggestions on how many i would need.I will grow 2plants and hope on is a female.

I was thinking 3 bulbs with 100 to 200 watts would be good enough.I will get as much wattage as i can.
I will probably get a fluoroscent for the sides of the plant. Can 2 diferent light sources be mixed?

I know how the light cycle works and how many hours of light for veg and flower. The only thing i am unsure is if the CFLs will be ok when i want the plant to flower and switch to 12/12,Or would i have to get a different bulb.

Because its my 1st gorw i am not to worried about the yield.

If all goes well with this grow i might invest a more productive system.

(World Cup.Blah we have some world class players but the seem to be making amateur mistakes. Our 1st game we won but very poorly against an amateur side.I think South Africa might be the winners. The hammered England last night and they were the last world cup winners)

Again thanks for all the help.I am researching as much as i can so i wont be asking questions that have being asked a 100 times before.

Peace Out

Thanks a million.Looking forward to it.This is a basic grow so i will keep a diary of everything i do and post it.

Best of luck in the World Cup

I have copied your questions here for you with some answers.

It would be east for me to rig a few cfl`s.Any suggestions on how many i would need.I will grow 2plants and hope on is a female. The more lights the better, space permitting
I was thinking 3 bulbs with 100 to 200 watts would be good enough.I will get as much wattage as i can. Good ideaI will probably get a fluoroscent for the sides of the plant. Can 2 diferent light sources be mixed? Yes, but cool spectrum for veg and warm spectrum for flowering is suggested
know how the light cycle works and how many hours of light for veg and flower. The only thing i am unsure is if the CFLs will be ok when i want the plant to flower and switch to 12/12,Or would i have to get a different bulb. You need the warm spectrum for flowering.

These answers are just basics as my experience is more with HID lamps or outdoor grows. I would strongly suggest you elicit the advice and guidance of our resident specialist consultant grower Urdedpal.
Good luck with your grow.

Again i cannot thank you enough.

I might hold off growing the plant and invest in other light types rather then use the CFLs.

I will just keep researching and researching and researching.

Again thank you for your help

Now i have decided to stick with the CFLs for vegging and use the HPS ballast for flowering.

When i am in the flowering stage do i run the CFLs along with the ballast.

I have researched a lot and some people say to wake the plant up during light cycles while others say do not disturb the plants.Any views on this.

One mere thing to finalize. If i veg the plant in a cupboard using CFLs and flouro.Would i be able to move the plant to the attic for the flowering using the HPS light.

Using a HPS light might be to much of a fire hazard in a cupboard.

Or would there be other light sources i could use for flowering.

I was hoping to use the CFLs and Flouro for the flowering elsewell but from what i understand that wont work.

I have changed my mind again and now i have decided on the lighting.

Trade Hydro - Envirolite Two Lamp 200W Reflector Kit

For veg i will use 2x200 watt veg bulbs and for flower i will use 2x200 watt flower bulbs.

I will also use 2x100 watt CFLs one one each side of the plant
