Two men have been sentenced to federal prison for their involvement in a marijuana distribution ring.

Dente Ryan, 33, of Seattle and My Ba Dinh, 39, of Renton appeared Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle. Judge Robert Lasnik sentenced Ryan to a year in prison and Dinh to 18 months for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the U.S. Attorney's Office reported.

Police arrested the two distributors in October 2005 after intercepting 185 pounds of "B.C. Bud" that had been smuggled into Blaine from Canada. An informant led police to both men in Tukwila, where they were waiting to take possession of the pot, the U.S. Attorney's Office reported.

Investigators searched Ryan's home and found a shotgun and a semi-automatic handgun.

Lasnik determined that Dinh deserved a lighter sentence because he played a minor role as a drug courier. A third suspect, Antonio Manuel Amancio Ramos, remains a fugitive on charges stemming from the investigation, the U.S. Attorney's Office reported.
