The hole, 3 foot round x 20-24” deep, dug down below soil into clay and when I reached wetness

Excess clay that will become a bed in the centre of the 4 girls for a giant pumpkin

After digging the hole, the sod went in the bottom with some blood meal, bone meal, KNO3 and a gallon of LABs. Then the soil going back in was mixed with 45 gallons of reamended supersoil from pervious grows that has been aging for nearly a year and the hole filled in.

And here she is in her new digs

Lol it’s going to be a few day process for me, about 8 hours per hole and 3 left to go lol and that’s aside from mowing, doing house renos etc lol

And as good as it feels to get these things going/done, it’s not so good on the body lol

Hahaha. Believe me I know how you feel. I will be lucky to get 2 of them planted this evening. Gotta start somewhere thou. So glad im in the yard and not gorilla gardening out in the woods.

Exactly lol my young fella wanted 100 plants to sink in the ground on my woodlot, told him he was crazy lol

Their 1st night away. They grow up so fast. Mostly up to mother nature now.

I put tomatoe cages around them for now. Mostly to stop me being stupid when i am out there. Also geared up some mesh around the ones outside of the garden. Try and keep the wildlife off of them.

Not sure how the rest of ya are faring, but I got 3 in the ground now and we just had about an inch of rain come down this afternoon...none seem worse for ware as of yet

I have all of them planted and they seem happy as can be. Heavy down pour this afternoon but they all held up.
