Hello all,
I am starting my second grow and I am currently in the veg stage. I was originally planning on buying some 42 watt 2700k CFL's for flower (I use CFL's for veg). However while browsing the internet I found a used Sunlight Systems II 250 watt HPS light. It has a ballast built in and is plug and play to my understanding.
So my dilema is do I spend $60 on CFL's or $100 on an HPS. Im leaning toward the HPS but I dont know how I can deal with heat and smell. I have a 3ftx2ftx4ft cab. It is currently running on 2 120mm 12 volt fans for ventalation (one in, one out). I will grow between 4 and 6 plants in this space (unless convinced otherwise). I would like to air cool the lamp with an additional fan I am using. Can I just hook my exhaust fan directly to the lamp? Or should I have two exhausts. This box running relatively quiet and smell proof is pretty essential.
I can include pictures of the grow, it is very well designed and put together if I do say so myself.
