Sup Home growers!

Sorry for sloppy layout. First ever grow going on day 7 of my 3 plant micro SCROG. Plants are Sour D clones given to me( donated ). I have tied the plants down since day 1 and some good LST is paying off. I would like to get some feedback for the following questions.

1. How big are my freaking pots. I am guessing they are about 2 gallon but not quit sure, if they are around 2 do you guys think 5 gallon smart pots will be a good transplant before flower?

2. Soil moisture is very high. I am expecting watering to be slow at first but come on. 3 days and it still feels way to moist and thats off of 1/4 gallon of water into pure ocean forest soil.(Light NUTES, and ph at 5.7)

3. Flowering 2 ft T5 bulbs. How many for 3 plants minimum? I know they will flower but is 4 bulbs enough for my setup?

I have micro topped one and FIM'ed the other, still waiting for some height to top the third.
Any suggestions would be great.

I thought at least by 80 views someone would have said my setup was shitty or something. Im new to growing so I'm not afraid of a little constructive criticism.

They're so cute! I would like to give constructive feedback but there isn't a lot of information regarding your feeding sleeping cycles etc.

It's hard for me to say exactly; I do know that if your pot is too big; the roots won't absorb all the nutrients in the soil before your next feeding. It's important to know exactly what you're putting in pH wise, ppm (parts per million) and knowing what's left in your soil before you feed again to reduce risk of over-fertilization and nutrient-lock.

I have nightmares about this... I heard it's better to go with a 70% strong solution to be safe because too much, does no good either. We don't want to help the plants too much because then they get brittle instead of resilient.

Please correct me if I was inaccurate on any of this... Your plants are adorable :goodjob:

I look forward to more!

welcome aboard dude looking nice. love the color of your pots i must say very spring type vibe. and i really like your abstract photo layout in the journal. making people work a bit for the bud porn ;)

i don't know anything of growing with the T5's m8 but i think further on down the line you will maybe find it beneficial to add some cfl sidelights to get those side and lower buds with you.

and just let them dry out good in between the watering. i think after 3 days at that stage for 1/4 gallon if the grow room is not so hot the soil will still be moist especially with high humidity in the room.. whats the temps around the plants?

when i use the plastic pots myself i always drill ALOT of small holes in the sides to help prevent spiral root (sides of a inclosed pot holds on to the mois and making roots seek to the sides and then spiral downwards lokking for more moist, not giving you a good solid rootballl in the hole pot) and overwatering also gets harder with those holes helping to air out the soil.. plants seems to like it way better than closed pots with only a couple of holes in the bottom.

@MajinGreen
Thanks for the reply! I thought they were so cute when i put them in those pots. I have updated with a lot more detail what i have done from the day 0 pics to now (about day 23). I was really skimpy on notes and waited a little longer in-between watering.

@Klovneposen

The pots were a must when i was starting out. The T5's have been great in Veg but we will see in flower. I have added another 2ft 2bulb 6500k. I really just wanted to add watts for flower.
I was really patient on watering thank god. Somedays i just wanted to water to speed things up but I held off.
I did upgrade to 3 gallon smart pots and I hope they like there new home.

Ill try to keep updating.

So these pics are from day 22-23 of veg. Due to time restraints on my lease i had to flip them to flower today. I have now 4 3000k 24w HO T5 bulbs with 2 6500k 24w bulbs. Any thoughts on this setup up for light?

For Nutes i have been using a gradually increasing dose of General Hydroponics 3 part series. On top I've added Cal-Mag, Silica, and unsulfured molasses. I have kept the PH in the 5.8-6.0 range with RO water. The plants have reacted well to the amounts i have been given.

I transplanted into smart-pots 3 gallon. In the transplant I used Mykos in new medium. I am still using Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

In the past 3 weeks i have used different techniques to try and get the colas were I want them. So far the LST and FIM techniques are the most noticable.

Let me know if there are some tips for flowering, or any other suggestions... sorry I slacked on the photos but should get better from here on. Thanks for the support.:420:

Lollipop for flower. I herd to do this for air flow if you have a heavy canopy.
Also as a general update thats 71 degrees F and 62 percent humidity. Is that ok for flower?

Just uploaded the first week of flower update. At this point I'm on cruise control with watering schedule. Every 4 days i water with 1/2 gal in 3 gal pots. So far i don't fined that the plants are lacking NUTES( no visible signs). What do you guys think? Also i found that i have roots that grew into my drain pans. I pruned those roots. Any thoughts on this? The PH of the runoff water in 5.6 and the roots were white and seemed healthy. Also i have found i have 2 protectors of my garden. I have 2 daddy long legs that chill with the plants and i have notice a lack of nats flying around like in the begging. Im going to keep them unless you guys think they will mess with my plants. Last point. I plan on leaving in veg until just before 4-20. Do you guys think it will be ripe enough to harvest with a little extra cure time? Also thoughts on foliage feeding during flower and its importance also if a flush will be necessary if i plan to water with plain RO water the last 2 weeks. Please give me some feed back fellow growers.

Sorry about the photos i haven't figured out how to rotate. ( Help?? )

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.

Sending you lots of love and positive energy.
