I like the idea of using the CoBs but what is the difference between the, 3050 series and the 3070 series?
I also have some of the 25xx series book marked for review, I think these are a smaller footprint CoB.
The 25xx series seem to be quite a bit less expensive that either the 3050 or 3070.

you should go with the bigger ones (3070 or 3590- this is a monster, when it comes out) because you get better efficacy. I know i can't explain that well to you, but it has been explained to me that using bigger wattage cobs will give much better effect than using more of those smaller ones. i was thinking the same as you, but those 25xx would be useful only for veg or keeping a mother
