4 RQS Strains - Coco Airpots - Scrog - GLR

Looking pretty damn nice dabs,
Going to be a nice harvest and well hey guess your pretty much at or past the half way mark of flower now, not long mate :)
Got to ask, since I did alot of reading lastnight, have you looked at or plan on doing any backbuilding on your colas? Who knows could be good a little for your height situation and looks like your at a good time to use the technique.

Thanks Bud, I am quite chuffed with things so far, effortless grow to be honest hope it stays that way.

As for the bud backbuilding, great minds and all, I was planning on doing that tonight. I have done it on my previous grows and it does make a difference. Dont think height is too much an issue anymore, vertical growth definitely stopped now and recon the timing is about perfect, get those buds to swell a bit now.

I could in theory move the light up a bit more as some of the buds in the middle under the hotspot are taking a tiny bit of strain but for some of the lower buds to develop any higher and it will stunt them I recon, so I think it's a balanced trade off.

That's the best way to have a grow :)

That's good to hear I reckon your ladies sill look very nice after they fatten up abit from it, yeah they looked like its perfect for it. Yeah I thought that was abit pointless to mention considering you only really get to trim abit off each aswell haha
Yeah just leave it if you think its balanced right, no point causing trouble with a straight forward grow so far :)

Week 10 Update (6 Weeks of flowering)

Once again not much to update, this is one day short of 10 weeks but it's unlikely that i would have been able to take pics tomorrow so here they are. This is probably one of the most boring and uneventful grows and apart from some heat stress in places these girls are doing really well. The runt still has wispy little buds and I will be lucky to get half an ounce off her but the others are fattening up really well. The smell is beautiful but seriously pungent, I can still smell them an hour later in my room after opening the tent.

Some nice looking colas in there mate and looks like they are all getting some good resin coverage and fattening happening in there. Ah well that's a half an ounce more then you'd have if you killed her off :)
Good work in there, can't wait to see it all past off for you :thumb:

Thanks Bud, have to say I am very pleased with things so far, should hit my 100 gram goal, well i think I should surpass it but anything over and above will be a bonus. The runt looks super frosty and as you say more than if I had culled her but she really is a bit of a waste of space. Hoping for quality over quantity with her. The White widow is fattening up nicely and loads of medium to popcorn buds on her too but the main cola could be quite impressive when she s done.

The Skunk esp but the Special Queen also looks like they are covered in shards of glass, so nice to look at. The heat does make them look a little sick in places but it must be heat because it's only showing where there are hot spots, I don't think there are any deficiencies but I stand to be corrected on that.

Been vaping the northern lights from the previous grow and she is great for pain but probably only have about a gram left, other than that the Fruit Spirit is an amazing buzz, not as good a painkiller but an awesome smoke. Love it, its very cerebral and great for listening to music or chilling. I really think you would like that strain Bud. Maybe consider it for your ''maybe wishlist'', wish I could send you a bean or two.

Hey mate been off awhile
Yeah mate the coating they are getting looks very nice each has its slightly different appearance. I hope that runt has nice quality, put her on your first to test out list and find out haha :)
I think your right there with the hotspots but like you said not much you can really do about things like that.
Yeah that northern lights breeds are a nice bit of herb had a little I got from a mate who grew some awhile back and. Isn't wasn't the best quality but was still nice chilling smoke. As for the fruit spirit I'm always open for suggestions so at some stage ill get on my account with os and check her out and add her to my list :)
Ah wouldn't that be nice rather then buying bloody seeds haha got a lot of typical Aussie outdoor bud seeds that would be a good sativa I'd think to send your way, think a lot of my horded seeds are about s close as you'd get to Aussie landrace strains sometimes I know a lot of them ve been grown outdoor for years can't tell em apart from the other bagseeds though haha

Week 11 Update (Week 7 of flowering):

Again not too much to report, buds are fattening nicely, the Skunk in particular is getting so chunky she will fall over if i don't add a support for her soon. Even the runt is fattening up. The White Widow smells beautiful and has a really chunky main cola, just a little concerned with her that she is at risk of some mold/bud rot with how dense and compact she is, gently pulling a bud away shows potential for moisture. The Special Queen is a bit shorter than the others and seems to be growing on main cola with two other decent sized colas., The skunk has one branch that is sitting around the middle near the front which is nearly as big at the main cola, seems the two are racing each other. The smell is magnificent but my carbon filter seems to be on it's way out so there is a feint constant smell of bud in my bedroom :Namaste:

Hi Bud,sorry for being so quiet, things have been crazy this side. Would love to try out some of the Aussie landrace strains, wouldn't a seed swap bank be awesome. Amongst a select few people I recon it could work too. An idea for the future.

Week 12 - 8 weeks of flowering :

Things have progressed well in the last week, serious fattening of the buds and I have even had to support a few of them. I am slightly disappointed with the lack of trichs on some of the buds, the way they started I thought they were all going to be seriously frosty, some of them are but I think the close proximity to the light could be causing some issues. The runt had a branch going past the light and obviously it wasnt packing on much weight so I tied it down under the hood which you will see if the pics, she is fattening up quite well. My estimate is 2 weeks until they are done, keen to hear some other opinions.

They are looking lovely and fat now mate :goodjob:
There isn't a whole lot of trichome coverage on leaves but in and around a lot of the buds looks frosty and delicious :)
I'm still not to great with harvest estimates especially with indoor, are you going to use a magnifying glass?
Is reckon you'll have to harvest some higher colas. Before some lower ones but then you could always have a mixed ripeness from them all.
I think you'd be pretty close with your estimate, I think some in the 3rd pic and last pic look abit ahead of some of the others maybe haha
Keep up the good work either way :)

Thanks Bud, I am very pleased with the results so far. Some of the really big buds seem to have less trichs than the others but for the most part they are looking great. I think I am going to smash my goal of 100 grams so super chuffed about that.

I am using a loupe and I would say that its probably about 60/40 cloudy atm and cant see any ambers yet but its hard to see the back plants so will have to cut some sugar leaves and have a look tonight. I am thinking of upping the nutes for a few days and then thinking of flushing within the next week to 10 days or so. Right on schedule too as I am running out of oil fast. The partial harvest is a great idea and never even thought of that. My initial plan was to take all te popcorn first and mix them together for some (broad spectrum of cannabanoid profile) oil but maybe with a partial harvest I may need to revise that strategy. Thanks as always for stopping by Bud, this would have been a rather sad journal without you around.

Its always the best feeling in a grow smashing the expectations :)
Yeah just even focusing with a loupe can be a pain sometimes but yeah can some leaf and just check it out as you go, just thought of add that I chopped when I got a bit of amber on leaves bud buds turned out pretty premature so maybe let em go a little once the leaves have amber, I may be wrong though haha
Yeah your feed schedule sounds like a good idea a big boost before letting them calm out for the rest of it.
Running low on the oil makes that harves idea abit harder. I guess if you can get by without the oil a little while after harvesting the main parts you can let the lower popcorn ripen up and make as much oil as you can from that.
Guess just do what's best for you and what you'll be comfy with mate :)
That's alright mate its always a pleasure checking your grow out and I have enjoyed watching how well it has progressed and now turned, I'm abit lost with why there hasn't been a whole lot of extra input here, I know your not doing any crazy training or anything but you done yourself well with such a nice and bountiful crop brother :)
:Namaste:

I am just going to have to wing it i guess. Very low on oil and very high levels of pain so will see what I can do, been forced into a lot more activity than before so that has kicked off the pain in a big way.

I am really not sure either why there has been no others getting active on this journal but not too fussed, just find it strange when the bud porn is in full swing and on my first journal i had plenty of comments and opinions. Oh well I am happywith whats been going on and kept it as simple as possible. Next round I will play around a bit more, I think I will probably do the AK autos next, then have a break and either look at a monster scrog or a flux on a landrace strain, by then i will be able to hassle you for advice and not just LA. :reading420magazine:

Week 13 (9 Weeks of flowering)

Nearly there!!!! :lot-o-toke:

Not too much to report, not entirely sure how far off harvest I am, all I know is that its close. I still have masses of white pistols but I am seeing more and more ambers every day. I would say probably about 5% at the moment. Hoping to harvest between 10-15% amber.

The Skunk is probably the most impressive of the 4 with the WW very close behind. The skunk has two big colas, the main one and also the one in the middle of the tent, she is the far left plant and if I left her to it, that bud would have fallen out the front of the tent, I had to tie it up for support but it is definitely fatter than the main cola. The WW just has one main cola with some very nice medium sized ones all over, Special Queen smells delicious and is slightly smaller but looks like seriously mean ganja.

The Special Kush aka The Runt has small little nuggets but quite a few of them and is by far the most frosty of the lot. Looks like reflective shards of glass all over her. May be a runt but i think she will knock me down in the near future.

My thinking is to either:

A) Leave them until the end of Feb and then do a one week flush (would assume coco makes flushing easier) and harvest on the 7th or
B)Start Flushing now to aim for an end of feb harvest

At the moment I am leaning towards A because I will need to dry them all in the tent at the same time and considering my highest priority is pain relief meds, I am quite happy with more ambers on some.

As always I am open to any comments, feedback or suggestions... Enough waffling lets get to the bud porn....

As always I'm here :)looks very nice and loving all the the bud porn you put on display, some of those colas have fattened up heaps and look pretty solid mate :thumb:
I'm not sure about harvest since the drying at the same time thing, but since like you said abit of over ripening isn't an issue that helps because I'm not sure which one she is but the plant/colas in second and third last pics look a lil behind the others just since the seem to be packing on extra weight so maybe option A would be good
I'm not to sure though I havnt gone by pistols for many grows either

Always good to have you here Bud, so i think the plan is hell or high water they are coming down on March 7th, unless anyone has any other suggestions but nobody is commenting here anyway so i doubt it. Can you see the tumbleweeds bud? Its ike a one horse town in here and the horse is on life support :laughtwo:

Looking really forward to it, I am a fairly patient person but this last part drags it's heels so badly, the smell makes me want to climb into the tent and pack the vape pen. Also pretty keen to get the auto's going.

As for the one that you say is behind, thats the runt, think thats pretty much as good as she gets, a few undersized mutant buds but they are frosty as hell, sugar leaves are virtually white with crystals.:tokin:

Week 14 update (10 weeks of flowering):

Finally we are nearly there, my weekly Tuesday update is a day late but nevermind here it is. I began flushing on Saturday and am planning on chopping them this coming Saturday. I am also going to give them an extra hour of darkness until Saturday to hopefully speed up the process. Surprisingly the WW is not as frosty as I expected her to be but the nugs are rock hard and dense. Both the Skunk and the Special Queen have a massive cola which is much bigger than the main cola which i will demonstrate in the pics. The runt is still runtish but she should produce a few nice nugs, some of them have fattened up nicely and others are still airy and fluffy. On to the bud porn:
