Hey all,
Wanted to get some advice. I sprouted 4 autoflower seeds, started 4 days ago, using 18 hours in water and then moist paper towel method.
3 seeds sprouted sequentially and have been planted in 3/3/2/1 peat/compost/perlite/vermiculite mix, water being used is 6.4 ph, all three seem to be doing well, but 2 needed help with getting the shell and membrane off, I guess I didn't plant deep enough.
However, the one seed that was left, still in the moist paper towel, it's a big old seed, larger than all the others. It cracked about 3 days ago and has a tiny tap root, maybe 2-3 mm long, it seems to be growing at a rate of 1 mm every 24 hours or so. I find it odd as the other 3 seeds that were already planted all had tap roots of at least 1 cm within a day or two.
Is this a dud seed? Anything I should do to it? Shall I just plant it with its tiny tap root?
All advice welcome! Thanks!
