400 watt ballast

I got 3 ballast (cores) from a swap meet, Cheep.
Just looking if i can use in grow room that iam going to build.
The ballast is for a mercury vapor.
Can i use this for metal halide or high pressure sodium?
Or was this just a wast of money?
Here is the info on the ballasts.

Do yourself a favor and throw the mv ballasts away. Although some people have made the mv ballasts work with mh bulbs (wont even fire a hps), the potential for bulb explosion is real. Save your money and buy some quality lighting.

Too much to risk. Best case scenario is you will likely burn up bulbs.
