6 Bagseeds: A Journey Worth Our Time?

Hello great community!

This is my first grow, I use a 2x2 (60x60x160cm) tent with an inline fan exhausting air outside the window.
The light is an Led panel by uplux with Samsung chips, 150W.
I use soil with 30 perlite. Good mix from a known source.
For nuts I went with bionova line of nuts.

Nov 29
I dropped 2 seeds to a wet paper towel. After 2 days they sprouted little tales so I've planted them in 2 plastic cups I holed for drainage.
Few days later they popped.
I was excited and terrified, I didn't have any equipment for growing!

Of course that day I bought a light and stuff.

My thinking that night was thats I am going to get through all that trouble for 2 male plants, so that night I Germenated another 4 seed, thinking that if only half will turn out female, I'll have the room for them, at least for a first grow befor obtaining fine genetics, just to get the feel for it.
It was my dream for years, and I've researched a lot.

Well.. They've all germenated.. One seed is a very good medical indicia I smoke. He was the slowest to grow

Also, I ran out of space so I had to transfer 2 seddlings into 1 10L pot.

You will likely find that those bag seeds will predominantly be female. Great start. We all keep adding to our grows as they evolve. Looking forward to your progress. Also...(in a sick way)...i am looking forward to seeing you choppy choppy for harvest. It will rip your heart out... ...but always great to get our 1st harvest out of the way.

Of course, I monitor the rh and temp.
Farily controllable, about 40-50 RH, and temps go around 23-15°c.

At Dec 17 growth seem fine. Was thinking if I should top the 2 mature ones.

At the Dec 21 I did it.
I topped one, and tried to fim the other (to this day I'm not sure if succ or not lol)

Meanwhile all the plants seem fine, it did seem to be growing a bit slow but I had no reference as this is my first grow.

I did notice that one of the young ones are deformed as fuck, as if one side of it is crippled. This was since it popped out of the soil and I was waiting to see how it grows.

Plus, big ass roots came out all drain holes. Looking white and shiny.

Are these all bagseeds from the same weed? I planted a bagseed last year outdoors that was pollinated by a random male in the area. I have 5 of those new seeds planted as of yesterday. I’m just doing it to see what’s going to happen.
Should be interesting. I’ll be following along.

Thanks a lot man, the seeds are from all over the place... All except one that I found in a medical indicia I somke, God I wish it would turn out female...

I kinnda want to bring this journal up to speed and continue from here on updating in real time.

Long story short, I took the 4 youngings out under a cheep aliexpress light called bestva, it's 600w advertised, pulls about 120w out of the wall.
This is the tent the day I moved them:

And this is their new place for now:

I also started LSTing the to mature plants:

Of course, you've guessed it... They are in day 3 of 12/12 cycle, yhippy!

This is the youngings basking in the sun, it reed 9999 FC in the lux meter on my phone lol..

This is it guys, this grow is fully updated.

Let me know what you'd do with 4 young ones? When to flower, should I combine the two lights as some point and start flower cycle to some and such.
What would be your strategy?

Those lights are pretty sufficient in their respective boxes. You have an opportunity to run a perpetual grow with a veg and flower section. As plants roll out the flower, the veg plants get moved in and you got 2 months to fill the veg again. ...just thinking...

I probably have the same light different name. I see them everywhere. I just didn’t have the budget to go all out last year when I started. My first grow I think I switched to flower after about 8 weeks veg. I also wanted to switch over when I thought the plant was half the size I wanted it to be so I had room for the stretch.
I’lol see what some experienced growers say..

I wish, but this set up is very inconvenient to maintain. Plus no proper ventilation there.
I am more focused on combining the lights, but maybe it unnecessary... Idk.

Yeah I'm curious as to how efficient it is. How was your grow with it?

I’m a new grower myself. I’ve only done 1 grow, which I did hydroponic. I’ve had what I consider good results for a first timer. See a pic below. Sorry, I don’t have many pics at all. I’ve started a new grow. (Gorilla Zkittles) I have some adjustments to make with reservoir maintenance. I’m expecting better results this time around. I’ve started a journal for it. Literally yesterday. Nothing to report yet.

I have noticed some decoloration on one of the young plants

Update: 6th day of flower
The plants really took off today showing rapid growth on all the branches. No signs of sex yet
Looking healthy to me, what yall think?

The 4 babys in the veg closet are pretty good.. 2 of them still show some signs of discoloration but I thing it maybe caused from the transfer to the closet and switching them to 24h light from 18-6. Idk, I am monitoring them all the time.
I transferred the weird gal to a fabric 5g pot today. She is twisted as fuck from the genetics and my training.
I kinnda go all out on them. Trying on them everything I read about.
I think that by the time I move them to the tent for flowering they will be enormous!

Yessssss! This morning I've seen the first signs of sex growth!!
It was the very beginning, indistinguishable whether m or f.
I will try to take a photo this evening hopefully it will grow a bit. (I have no idea who much time should it take.

It doesn't seem they will pass the 35cm hight though

You didnt bend the hell out of it. You supercropped it. No worries. She should toughen up there and should be a little stronger than before. You arent in flower yet?

Yea people bend like that as a type of stress training all the time. My first grow was 3 bags seeds and all 3 ended up female. I have 2 bags seeds down now that just popped. I'm hoping I'm as lucky this time as last. Several ppl have said the bag seeds from good smoke usually turn out fem. Happy growing!
