6 Ladies Cloned Trifecta, 2019, Indoor 4x8 LED

New to the group, but have already found a wealth of information here.
I’ve started my first “real” grow on March 12.
I have a 4x8 with 6 lady clones. 2 TwistaXAfgan, 2 OGGrapeXStar47, and 2 JackHererXBOG.
For now I have 1 but most likely will need 2
Yehsence 1500w LED Grow Light with Bloom and Veg Switch, (15W LED) Triple-Chips LED Lamp Full Spectrum.
I’m using a Black Magic + Local CO organic steer mix soil medium, with Black Magic fert in concert with URB nutes.
So far everything looks great. I just finished up my adaptation phase and have since went from 12/12@44” to 18/6@ 36” above canopy. Recommendation from the light company. I’ve also read that running both switches (full spectrum) now is okay, so I’m testing that theory today.
I’ve stabilized my PH between 6-7 (using color charts) and tested runoff and still maintained yellow/slight green tint.
I’m still learning how to water properly, but thanks to an article that pointed me to forum, I think I know best practices now.
I’m still working on humidity, hard to do in CO, but was at 40%@72-78 degrees this morning, which has been a fairly consistent number. I’m using a local Spring water from Eldorado Springs that tests just under 7 without treatment.
Right now they have all been transplanted into 1 gallon, to be fitted with 3/5 gallon smart pots when I’m comfortable with the root ball. I regret not using clear dixi cups, just because I’m curious and very impatient. Lol. I know those are bad attributes for growing, but what can I say.
A couple have gotten a little hot from the heater early on, but other than that I think they’re looking good so far.
Any advice along the way is greatly appreciated.

Not exactly what I was wanting to see, but Im going to let them roll a day before I respond.

Adjustments made yesterday:

PH’d water from high6/low7 (yellow-greenish-blue) to mid 6 (yellowish)

Mixed URB nutes- 10ml per gallon, 3 gallon glass
Added 1/2 tbsp Black Magic fert to each pot. (Gallon/soil) recommended at day 30 so I may have jumped the gun by 14 days.

Added clay ball soil topper- help disperse water evenly to prevent disturbing the soil too much.

I ran the nute mix through 1 and PH tested runoff at an almost pale yellow. (As perfect as I think it’ll get with this kit) then watered/feed the other girls.

With this first run of nutes, I watered the outside edges just enough to feel the water weight, hit the base of the plant until I saw run off, let it drip out until it stopped, sat back in it’s drip tray.

Switched LED on veg and bloom. (Full spectrum) and lowered from 44” to 38”
The light recommended 32”-40” at 18/6.
Went from 12/12 to 18/6.

Currently 73F@ 36%
It’s supposed to snow so the temps dropped a bit on me.
They’ve been under these conditions for 6 hours dark, and 13.5 hours light as of this post.

Silver Pots- Jack Herer X BOG
Red Pots- Twista X Pure Afghan 7
Blue Pots- Star 47 X OG Grape Krypt

Thoughts?

Welcome Adam to 420 gonna hang around and watch your grow . You think it’s a ph problem? I just started one in soil and my others hydro . I’m on a iPhone can’t zoom in on the pics. When you do pics select full pics instead of the default thumbnails!

Check! Enlarged the photos. I’m fairly confident on the PH. Though I don’t have digital, the color is spot on according to the test chart, and I tested and retested about 5 different times.
I hear people with LED setups seem to need CalMag so I’ll get some this weekend, but that’s just going off things I’ve read.

The fertilizer I have has some in it, some I’m at a loss.

Are you running RO water then you’ll need cal mag!
No, local Spring water from Eldorado Springs, CO.
Without any adjustment, it’s at 6.5-7.5.
It came up yellowish-green during testing.

Okay, just ran another PH test.
First pic is from the water,
Second is from the water+URB runoff from last nights feed.

15ml/pg URB - 3 gallon water jug
Didn’t want to do the 30ml inoculation out of caution. Stuff is RIPE!

I assumed my PH was going to drop after feed, so I treated the water a bit higher to see what it did.

I can’t test Water+URB with this kit because it’s too dark. They claim PH netutral for both soil, URB, and clay balls.

What are your thoughts?

The second is a lighter green which means the ph cane down . You really need to invest in a ph pen !
I know, said that when I decided to go with this kit. Any recommendations? I’ll hop on Amazon now. Lol!

The hm digital ph 80 is my best pen the two cheap ones yellow and purple don’t last.

Good deal. I’ll definitely invest in one.
Thanks for all of the follow ups.

Might want a TDS pen also ,I know the soil growers use it to check the solids (nutrients) level, don’t want to burn the plants by nutrients.

That’s what I’m afraid happened.
They’re about to cycle off, so we’ll see what they’re up to when I go down and spray.

I want to see if a @InTheShed would check this out for you !

At this point since they're in veg, I'd go with neem oil mixed per the bottle every three days for at least two weeks. It should take care of most bugs at this stage.

1500 watts seems like an enormous wasted of electricity to me for those plants now, but it's your dime!
It’s an LED setup, actual pull is 265w.
I’m not too concerned about that aspect regardless. My electric bill Is nothing compared to what it was back in Texas. Lol.
I’m not too sure about bugs either... these were packaged clones 3 weeks ago (TGS), so as far as I know, they’ve never been exposed to bugs. To be quite honest, we don’t have many bugs in CO. It’s still snowy season here. It’s coming down as I type.
I appreciate the input. I’ll see if I can dig up a scope and get a closer see.
I’d be shocked though.

Adam....welcome aboard 420.. :ciao: are planning on LST those Ladies in the weeks ahead....:peace::passitleft:
Absolutely, I have a few showing good characteristics for it already. I definaley need to do more reading up on it before I go bending and cutting. Lol!

I have a few low hanging branches on a couple of them that I hope take off for the sky with a little help. We’ll see soon enough.

Hopefully whatever’s going on now is the original leafs not liking the setup. They usually keep them under basic LEDs at the dispensary, so I wonder if those bottom sets can’t handle it... ? It seems like the new growth is healthy.

Time is key. I know they’re still drinking so that’s a good sign. Thank’s for the welcome brother.
