70 watt hps

i seen a 70 watt hps and was thinkin it would be good for a small space and was wantin to know what you guys think?

i've seen a 40 watt, but i think it'd only be useful in a glove compartment

You can get a 400W for 100 bucks on line, I suggest this, with some fans you will be fine, or if you are really worried about it buy a cool tube too.

i was just thinkin about a 3 foot high 1 foot wide 1 foot long space for one plant but i dont know how hot the 70 watt light gets

It wont get too hot, but still in a small space it will warm up. In a confined space such as yours your going to need an exhaust fan, and a means of getting fresh air into the grow box. Plus a fan wouldnt hurt.

maybe i can put it in my closet and just keep it small so that way it wont get that hot as loing as i got a good fan

Dude your missing the point, its going to create heat NO MATTER WHAT. All a fan is going to do is blow hot air around the grow box. You NEED and exhaust in a small space like that, and you NEED a way to get fresh air into your space as well. Theres no other advice i can give you, thats exactly what you need to do.

I know i NEED to get fresh air in and the hot air out thats a givein i was just wondering if it would put out enough light to get better buds than like three 42 watt cfl's

Yes it will, and HPS has a better red spectrum than cfls, unless you get cfls made for growing with a red0orange spectrum.
