Thats whats I used for my grow box. I ran a seprate 20 amp circut into my closet and used an arc breaker to match the others in my pannel, besides in my area its code in all new consruction.I used to be a licenced contractor so I'm prety up to date on building regs. which leads to my other problems. My house is not quite done yet so at least running new wires is easy. :grinjoint:

Nice job on the diy hood! And even better job with the 9 ladies, that is excellent to say the least.

Sorry its been a while since the last update. I've been busy with the holiday and all. I've been battling high temps even though its below freezing outside. Eight bulbs is all can run with my current ventilation, I have to fix this soon! The cheese seems to really have problems with the heat, it wilted and burned some of the bigger leaves. I guess 100F is a little high. All of the rest seemed not to be bothered especially the papaya. The three from my outdoor grow where getting way taller than the rest so off with their heads, the rest got a hair cut. They are between 10"-12" and are forming full flowers I think I might be under my goal of 16". I will try and get pictures tonight as they are looking beautiful.

I'm in Ross.....And really thinking about a Hempy next go round. Eager to see what you yield from a 1 gl Hempy!!!

And yes, CFL's put off some heat when in quanity in small spaces....At least mine do.

You ain't the only one Omaha. Mine are keeping a 32 cubic foot space warm in 30 degree weather. They can generate some warmth for sure.

I did an experiment I unpluged my leds two days ago. That nite my temps only hit 71F, last nite I put all 14 bulbs in my fixture. My temps only hit 82F last nite :yahoo: 9100 lumens per squre foot. We will see how the plants like the change. Maybe I can use the leds for veg? I'll take pics tonight the buds are starting to look good. :grinjoint:

:reading420magazine: I've been there, done that with the heat before... woke up to a shut grow room door and temps hit 102F That can happen in the real world so, don't worry too much.

I love your Papaya's! :bravo:

I took out the LEDs because off the heat. With the lights on they were putting out heat I couldn't get rid of. They didn't run that hot, but attached to the walls I couldn't cool them. My cfl fixture cools pretty easy I have a fan pointed at it from above. The top of the box gets over 100F but under the lights it never gets over 82F and I use CO2. I think when I get a bigger vent fan I will try putting them back in. But that wont be until next round,maybe. :grinjoint:

The next time I take pics I will take some of the changes I have made to the box. I changed my ventilation arrangement and built a bigger carbon filter. I am also planing on switching to OC+ as I am going on a two week trip and my buddy will be taking care of them until I get back. I can PH enough water but I don't want to leave nutes stand that long. I want to keep it as simple as possible for him as he has a black thumb. I will be a great test of the idiot proof reputation of hempys. :)

If any body has any experience with adding OC+ to a hempy mid grow please help as I'm not sure if I should just top dress or work it in? +reps for good advice. :thankyou:

Hey Ross,

Just top dress with the OC+. You can work it in to the media a bit if you want, may be a little more effective. I was lazy and just threw it on top and after several times watering some of the prills have made their way down into the perlite a bit.

How late into flowering are you? I have seen some suggestions from recent grows that OC+ potentially delays harvest, but the buds continue swelling during this time. Not real sure myself as I haven't finished my current grow yet, approaching week 4 of 12/12 in a few days.

Bunch of people trying these Crf/Trf's now, so we should have a better idea of what to expect in the coming months/years.

Thanks Marly15. Last night I checked to see how far down the roots are, I went down over 2 inches and no roots. I think I will remove the top couple inches of perlite and mix it in a container and put it back in the bucket. I think if I do it right before I water and then flush after I do it I should be fine. The easier I make it the less chance of error. :grinjoint:
