hola' my dubsters
let's say you had a 9x12 room.
I'd like to have a veg room, flower room, and a small area around 4x4 where I can grow one planted to fill up entire area then flip to flower.
I'm only going to be growing 4 plants at a time. How would you design it ?
would panda film be good enough to make tents ?
can one exhaust take care of all the plants?
how would you cool the room ?
it's in a basement if that helps

How much research are you willing todo? If you are truly a newbie, talk to a local indoor gardening store about your footprint and look at your options. Here’s what you need to do:
  1. Decide how much money and time you have to devote to your grow. These two factors are paramount and will guide your decisions.
  2. Soil? hydroponics? Soil is a lot less involved than hydro. But I’m a hydro grower. It’s what I like.
  3. auto flowers or will you need to change lighting to have photoperiod plants? this will decide whether you have grow tents or can grow in a room without them.

And this is just the beginning.

Oh I know it is.
I've done a lot of research and read everything I can. This is something I will eventually like to do. Just getting ideas.
I'm only 4 months into the journey so I have a lot to learn.
What I am going to do is start auto seeds and fem seeds at same time. Veg fem seeds until the autos are harvested then flip females to flower.
I'm doing soil because I dont really understand the hydro

Something to consider is , if you were to do auto flowers in a room that size you could have plants flowering , vegging , and just starting out all under the same lights all the time. You could easily harvest a couple of plants every month and have a perpetual grow. if you have never grown auto flowers they are much more than you probably think they are. I do a lot of autos and they are anywhere from 2 - 8 ounces each and sometimes bigger , but I think the record is almost 3 pounds , it is on YouTube.

I have 2 autos going now.
I may try that some time. Thanks for the idea!

Here's some autoflowers I kept super small, only about 16 inches. They are at 40 days from putting the seeds in the ground. Autoflowers with the right genetics bulk very well.
