A Beginners Journal - 250W HPS - Indoor - Soil In Wardrobe - Advice Welcome!

we are harvesting a little at the time on our bag seed. 2 buds here and there from bottom and middle, still a lot to go. She doesn't seem to care.

Hi everyone, I´m sorry for not updating as promised! I hope i can apologize with a more detailled update as usual:

Day 73 update

Humidity: 40-43%
Temps: 19.8-28.1°C (67.74-82.58°F)

I had an Humidity issue, as Angrybird said before. What i did against it was simple but effective. I placed a dehumidifier in front of my air intake. All the sucked in Air has now move through the dehumidifier. This raised Temps a little, but it´s managable. This reduced average humidity by arround 10%, but this wasn´t enough. Arround 40% was the Goal, there were 15% more to go. I thought it would be the easiest way to reduce humidity from the room where my closet is in. This was easy, i just had to figure out how long and often i have to open my Window. It would have been better if i did this way before. But i guess, this is called learning, with help from you all of course. But now, let´s move on to the more interesting things :)

Because i was focussed on the Dark Devil, my other Lady, Blue Dream, comes way too short in this Journal. so let´s get a more detailled look at this one:

She is growing with an average Rate of 7 cm over the Last 7 Days. She has done 35cm total in that Time. And there is no sign that she will stop witht that. She´s eating really a lot of Nutes, getting 5ml/l of BloomComplex, 2.5ml/l of Phosporous+ and 1 Drop of Supervit at 5l every Watering. She is sucking up 5L every other Day. I do think that i could give here even more Nutes if i wanted to, but that is what Hesi recommended to give your Plants at Maximum and she looks happy with it. When watering, there is about 0.75 to 1l runoff every Time. She got a strange kind of shape, as you can see on the Pics below. This is because i had to train her like that, cause of Dark Devil is taking too much Space. My closet is too Small for two Plants. This is why i want to do only one Plant in a much bigger pot next grow.

And now Dark Devil, drinking about 4 Liters of plain water every other Day, yellowing up more and more. look at her Trichromes, anything changed to the last time i showed some Picks of her?

Do you quick dry it? When yes, which method are you using?

If you have a dry plant material vaporizer you can vape them wet. I take small cuts and sit them on top of the light panel. They typically dry overnight to the point where it's smokable.

don't do that dude the slower the better.

You speak truth gyftobill, but some of us have found we have an appreciative taste for the fresh-harvested bud, just dry enough to incinerate. There are terpenes you'll get at the fresh stage that dissipate overnight. You lose over 50% of the monoterpenoids in the first week of drying. Although I don't condone flash-drying a harvest, I have made oil from a freshly-harvested plant, and I believe it gave us a stronger medicinal value.

But for recreation..... give it a nice, long and gentle cure. bobrown14 swears that the DDA's tendency towards borderline hallucinogen is enhanced by a three-month cure. You'll have enough on hand when you harvest Crocodoc, to do just that and see for yourself.

That's one beautiful plant! Her leaves have such vigor. Don't you love the autumnal tone to the fans as she races to the finish line?

I wanted to suggest another curing option for you to explore. Dr Ziggy does a slow cure in the refrigerator. The trick is to have temps and relative humidity close to the same numbers. Place the cannabis buds in a glass jar with a screen in the lid, similar to what they sell for draining sprouts, and place it in the bottom of your refrigerator. Leave it there for at least a couple weeks. I completely forgot about this with my last harvest, or I'd have tried it myself. Ziggy says the resulting high is incredible. I'll be doing this with my Carnival when she comes down within the next month, but you'll beat me to that deadline.

I'd like to stick around here, if you'll have me. I tend to drop out of sight when I get busy, so please be patient with me if I'm absent on occassion. Maintaining over a dozen threads can sometimes get frantic until I get things squared away again, but I like what you're doing here.

I´m thinking about harvesting one half today and the other half maybe in a week. What would you say about that?

That sounds like a plan. I always make that plan about a week out from my harvest and then talk myself out of it and wait. I have yet to do a partial harvest on the DDA, regardless of my impatience. :laughtwo: That last week I wait can often be breathtaking in how much they can pack on in such a short time.

I do, however, allow myself a sample cutting when that urge hits. With me I understand it's a yearning for some fresh DDA. The same thing happens to me with my Carnivals. Just can't seem to wait. :laughtwo:
