A hps to much $

i went to my local home inprovement store tonight and was looking at some hps lights. i find out that i need some kinda balist. well any way how is this light for growing, in a closet at most 2 plants.

also if i go floresent do i need as much wattage? and im hearing you need 50w per sq foot of grow room is this true?

yeah MH and HPS light both need a ballast to run the light. that light that u are showing is a 150 wat floural.. that would work for like 1 plant the best but maybe could do 2 just a lil slower growth but more light equals better grow and yeild. The 50 per sq foot is fot best results u can do less but its best to have 50watt per sq foot

what if i have like 4 75w cfl lights possitioned in a circle around the top of the plant, kinda like a halo (the ones that angles have)?
