I think I have mentioned previously that I collect rolling papers. It is far from the biggest collection or anything, but I enjoy collecting, so as a cannabis smoker, papers seemed an obvious choice.

I started because I found Juicy Jays and wanted to try more of the flavors. Then when I had all of them I could find, I started buying other flavored papers. At some point it got to be about any papers and not just the flavored ones.

Currently I have 379 distinct varieties, although I know for certain I have at least 3 more.

So I was sorting some new ones in and I figured I could take a pic while I was at it:

No, I have them. They are listed as "ICUP - Pink Floyd". I also have the ICUP AC/DC and ICUP Rolling Stones papers. The unfortunate thing is that they are not a very thin paper.

If you zoom in on the bottom right container in the pic, you can just make out the Pink Floyd pack 8 packs from the top of the container (black with white and blue print). The Rolling Stones ones are just above that (red with white print) and the AC/DC just below (black with gold print).

I bought the Pink Floyd and AC/DC papers at a souvenir shop on the main tourist drag in Nashville (Broadway?) when I went through there on vacation. Took me another two years before I found the Rolling Stones papers in Northern Cali. As far as I know, there are no others in that 'set'.

Most of them have most of the papers still in them. None of them are empty. I do smoke from the collection. In fact I have been known to pick at random, just for the fun of it. Most of the time I just use Smoking (brand) Black though. As you can guess, I am partial to doobies.

Thank you. Collecting is in my DNA, so collecting papers came natural. You would not believe the variety available. Although I have already bought all I can find (in person, I haven't purchased any via web yet) this is really just a fraction of what is out there.

Looking at Rolling Papers - Cannabis Indica: Oh, cool. Those would be extra fine to have. Hmmm...


Anyway, check these out - they are transparent papers, with flavor (3/4 of them anyway):

I can't remember where I found these, but they sure are interesting:

As you unfold the pack, you get all this:

Each of those panels is perforated to tear up into 6 crutches per panel, for a total of 48 as advertised. One for each skin.

Inside are the papers. King size and uncreased, with gum. They look medium weight:

They are marked "Pot and Pan Un Ltd Made in Scotland UK".

This brings back so many memories! A little history: In the 30's and 40's on, matchbook collecting was a big thing, with folks collecting and even framing them. When my dad travelled to far away places he collected them for his friends, some of whom I just remembered. We also had house guests from Europe as well as the far east who would bring them to us for us to give to others.
Much later, I think in the 60's, folks started collecting airline barf bags, especially from foreign airlines. I have given or used all that I had but a few years back, I found a guy online who was selling posters of barf bags of the world. I got a bunch and used them for xmas presents. They are great to frame and put up in the barfroom.
Thanks for sharing this, and good luck! As postage stamps are not as popular as they used to be, you might be on the bottom floor of a new collecting fad. Just think. Your own trading website or even convention such as comics.

Collecting can be very rewarding.

I have these, which are tobacco wraps. They are made from tobacco leaf. I don't like them because they add so much of their own to the bud I'm smoking and that's a personal no-no, but I'm sure you could roll some short but quite nice blunts with these.
