Adjusting my PH

hi there people,. my ph comes straight out the tap water at between the7.8 sometimes up at 9.2 or inbetween abouts, i put the required amount of ionic bloom for soil in the water and it drops to 4.7 sometimes 5.1... what am i doing wrong and what should i do to fix this,, can anyone save my bad tactics,, peace people

missed a bit here,, i also add to my bloom nuts a couple of drops of thrive wich seems to bring it down as well is this normal and do i still need to bring the ph back to the desired level,. cheers

Your nutes are acidic, they lower the PH of the water, when you are done adding your nutes to the water you then PH the mix to whatever you want whether it be up or down. You would want to PH up to your desired number.
