AeroGarden Part Two - Featuring TopLED Reflector Series 96x3w

very nice. I have found that most plants I've grown take at least 9 weeks from first pistil till they're ripe and strong. if you leave more leaves next time you can run a higher ppm and will have even bigger buds :thumb:

BReal....

Thanks for the input. I'm a defol kind of guy but would consider leaving as much as necessary to see if your statement is true. Not that it isn't...LOL. Would just like to prove it myself.

9 weeks sounds about right for my gurl. That will give me that 25% amber that I'm looking for. This is suppose to be White Widow and their period runs 8-10 weeks.

Ohh, i didn't knew that...thx

Renegade, congrats, the end is soon. girl Looks very beautifull and start frustrating me :)

LOL....patience my friend...PATIENCE!!!

The one thing that I've learned the most. Be patient in your adjustments, tactics, and above all in your harvest. You won't be disappointed.

Hope all is having a nice peaceful Memorial Day.... We give thanks to those that have given that ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy some sorta freedom in the things we do...LOL.

But really those of us that have fought and died for our country....we will always be in your debt.

On another note. Wifey and I enjoyed the last of last weeks clipped popcorns. We both enjoyed the body high. She complained (in a good way) that this high forced her to relax. Above all this is what I am thankful for the most. As we draw near to harvest it will only get better for her. Next weeks popcorns have 50% cloudy where as this weeks was only about 25%.

Hoping harvest will be more 25% amber.

Pics of the frostiness on the popcorns I pulled this morning....

Ain't they cute...LOL. But alas...they seem to have a nice punch...LOL.

See the frostiness I was talking about....yummy...LOL.

LMAO...

I am also very curious to see if there is a difference. I want to learn the high at each stage. I need to know this so that I know when it's ready for me and when its ready for wifey.

Exactly and i'm going to read very carefully this point, i heard that more milky than amber = very high / the contrary = more stone...So waiting for your comparison.

Low blow my friend

Anyone know of an access control/cctv position available...LOL.

Anyway, hope all is doing better then me. Will post updated pics later tonight or tomorrow.

It's chop time...

Godspeed the job search, Renegade! I'm so sorry, that is never a comfortable spot to be in. Something even better must be right around the corner!

It sucks, 2014 is a weird year but the wheel turn, always.

First of all good luck and secondly, many positiv vibs we send you , me and friends, from here.

Yea.... Sucks, sucks, sucks....

Quick smoke report update for the second test buds.

We tried one out last night and it was as to be expected. Outter edges of the bud were dry, crispy dry. The inner bud was slightly soft and only a little sticky. These were the 2nd round of popcorn buds I pulled on Monday. I really didn't feel anything more out of this high except maybe came on quicker. If I sit I can zone out, so for some it's a bit of a couch lock but who can tell for sure. If I have something to do I can get through it so maybe for me it's a mental control thing. Focus when I need to focus and chill when I need to chill. And the smoke was smooth and that's equally important to me. I hate harshness.

So my vote goes to pulling a few buds (lower branches or popcorns if you have them) when you can see the transition to cloudy. IMO you need to do this anyway to figure out the high your looking for. One thing for sure the high you test and the high you get on the finished product won't even compare. Finished product wins all the time...drying and then curing for as long as you can stand.

I do CCTV....camera's. You got security concerns??? PM me if you have any info on the east coast. North Georgia, Carolina's, Tennessee.

This is Friday's Update a little late......

30 May 14, Friday

18/2, 122 Days, 101th LST, 96th Topping-18/6, 58th 12/12, 8/1 LED/Flower

Harvest time.... Because of recent events...(loosing my job)...I am forced to harvest early. Trichomes are 50% cloudy and better. No amber this go round. For White Widow flowering period runs 8-10 weeks. So I'm just a little early.

Added boiling water to res to prepare for chop day. 36-48 hours before chop. Lights left in 12/12 cycle. Res pump turned off.

Pics of the before....LOL....

Harvest....

Chopped plant and cleaned out res. Root ball was big as expected. Roots themselves were brown. Not sure if it was from hot water or the issues with res temp and size.

Chopped here and there and plant looks funny. Looks like she could have been forced back to veg.

The bigger buds (4-6") actually had some weight to them...that was a surprise. I thought they would be light and airy.

Did some minor trimming. Since this harvest isn't for packaging what's the use??? Anyone have an issue with leaving the outer leafs on??? Will the bud shrink into itself causing denser buds??

Stickiness and smell are almost gone??? Although my clippers were sticky as hell and had a time cleaning them. Scrapped off the excess and then cleaned them with alcohol.

Pop'd my head in the cabinet at 1150hrs and the smell is back. Very strong smell...LOL.

Oh and those clippings.... I'm gonna dry them and test them. May put them through the quick dry method...LOL...I know, I know....never do this....LOL.

And finally....

So after a 2 day soak in boiling water they are now clipped, trimmed and drying in the cabinet. I'm using the growing cabinet for now since I already have the dehumidifier and fans running. Intake fans blowing below buds and exhaust on low. Air and humidity are...77 and 53%.

I will dry in cabinet for 3-5 days to start and then maybe move them to my DIY drying box for another 3-5 days. I will cure the best buds in the 2 small CVaults I already have and the rest in some 1/4 cup canning jars I have. Only 4 of them so I hope what's left will fit in it.

The vaults and jars will be kept in an old mini frig in the garage. The average temp inside the frig is 80 with a high and low of 75-83. I will put the dehumidifier in the frig when the jars go in.

So I'll wrap up this journal in a few days....
