Ah i need help sexing

AH DANGIT- my plants all have the same thing in the crooks of where the main stem and the branches meet... like there is this string thing sticking out maybe an inch- real skinny no leaves too small for leaves- and i was wondering if thats female... theres not a pointy thing but just like a hair sticking out of each side of the crook so it looks like this kinda...
